Any concerns with going from factory 225-50/17 to 235-50/17 on factory wheels?

First time diverting from factory tire specs. Checked and seems like from factory 225-50/17 to 235-50/17 on factory wheels is way within safety specs. And the only thing is that the tire will be a bit taller (which is actually good to fill that huge factory fender gap), but still within 2% as far as actual vs real speed indication.

Any concerns before I pull the trigger on the tires?

The main concern for me is that they'd be noisier and fuel economy would go down. The speed indication would be more accurate, as the speedometer readout is typically 5% low.

Yes, you are correct on both of those counts. But it will give me some more stability in the rain and I’m thinking about putting 10mm/15mm spacers on.

Better grip in the rain comes from better contact between the tire and the road. You don't necessarily get that with a wider tire, as more surface area can result in more tendency to hydroplane. If wet grip was a concern for me I'd be looking at test results to find the best tire options. I'd think long and hard about spacers too. For every positive aspect there's a negative aspect.

I see your point on hydroplaning. I am willing to go a half inch wider. Cannot be that disproportionately more dangerous as far as hydroplaning, unless the tire itself was already rated low for hydroplaning performance. I got some decent rated Pirelli P7 All Season Plus 3, 235 /50 R17, 96V, SL BSW for $95.53ea tax/shipped (after rebates).

As far as the spacers. Made for the F30, so not universal bolt pattern. Got some USA-made hubcentric 12mm front/15mm rear with 6061 T6 Billet aerospace aluminum. Extended length 10.9 Heat Treated Grade SCM435 Steel bolts. https://www.ebay.com/itm/284003210272?

......checkout the below link, which should help put things into perspective - - I utilized it before I purchased my summer Arc8 setup & the beautiful thing about it...no spacers were required for the 18" aggressive setup.

No concerns at all.
