Hi *******,
Some tips for you to burn fat and to reduce belly fat.
Do exercise regularly as it will burn fat, boost metabolism and helps in losing weight. Have healthy breakfast daily and avoid skipping meals. Increase your water intake, drink green tea and take low carb food meals. Avoid eating shortly before going to bed.

Some advice I picked up after having lost 45 pounds this year:

1) Eat more salads. Dressing on the side, but if you can go without then even better.
2) Water, lots of it. And try to avoid Diet sodas and drinks that use Aspartame or Sucralose. Drinks with Stevia are not as bad from what I read.
3) Eat more often, but still be wary of calories. At the end of the day, its simple math: extra 3500 calories burned makes you lose a pound. What you ate to induce that calorie deficit will determine how that weight loss will look on you and how it will continue. Basically 100 calories of chocolate is obviously different than 100 calories of lettuce.
4) Find good snack foods that make you full and are good for you. My favorites are baby carrots, macintosh apples, unsalted raw almonds.
5) Pick one food that you love and break up with it. Mine was cheese, oh dear god how much I love cheese, but it does not love me back.
6) As far as workouts go, you need to vary your cardio. Otherwise your body will eventually get used to it and it wont be as effective. Also keep in mind that people store excess weight differently. I stored a lot in my butt and hips so I focused on spin classes, stairclimbers, and crossramps.
7) Have a cheat day. This is probably the most important thing. You will lose your mind if you dont eat the foods you love at least once a week. Obviously keep it within reason, you dont want to negate all the hard work you put in all week.

Im always up to discuss stuff like this, shoot me a PM if anything, and good luck!

as far as losing weight with less effort, try the elliptical machine without using the handles; just move your legs. i lost 22lbs after burning 1000cal (1hr 12min for me) a day, 6 days a week. (i only weighed 184lbs to start) The elliptical isnt for everybody though but its worth a try. my advice is to bring a tablet or something to watch a movie on so that way u dont think about exercising, just watching the movie.
invest in a head band too... if you're overweight and have been drinking tons of water like you should u will sweat... A LOT, its less frustrating if the sweat stays out of your face to start with rather than wiping it off every 10 seconds.
as far as calories go, its approximately 3500 calories to a pound of fat. if you are really large, keep your diet at 2500 calories or less a day, avoid more than 1 tbsp of sugar, avoid starches, and dont drink diet sodas (the sugar substitutes hinder fat burning capabilities). if you lift, maintain a high protein low trans fat diet.
some foods that u can get "filled up" with that are okay are salads with no more than 4 varieties of veggies and a clear type dressing (avoid ranch, thousand island, etc.) like sticking to balsamic vinegar or italian dressing. celery is also good because it takes more calories to digest celery than it takes in.
low sugar peanut butter (stick with organic style or "all natural") is good too, but not before a workout - it will slow down your water absorption and cause you to be dehydrated under hi cardio activity.
if u want booster nutrients, do not take fat burners unless prescribed by a doctor. hi caffeine supplements i use are N.O. Xplode and gatorade. nitric oxide dilates your veins so allows faster and more thorough blood flow, gatorade's electrolytes dilute the water mixture in your system so you get a steady flow of water and energy to support your workout. and dont forget to take in plenty of water! i suggest bringing in maybe a 2liter bottle of purified water in with you - especially while on the elliptical.

im sure theres a ton more input i have but i would go on forever...

Eating nothing all day, then eating a normal size supper/dinner is not a good idea. Reason being, the larger period of time your decide to stay hungry your body starts to use up stored fat/ energy such as carbs, but when you suddenly eat a lot later on, your body stores a lot of the nutrients to replenish the ones you lose before. You pretty much go nowhere and might even get more out of shape. My advice is to stop going on a "DIET" and consider it a "Life style change" where you just watch what you eat and have a good balance of exercise

You only have weekends because that's what you're choosing to have. If you want this to work you must make it a priority. I didn't think I had a lot of time before I started working out either. However, when I made it a priority I realized I can get up earlier, get in an hour workout, and then go to work.

If you don't want to go to the gym then get a treadmill or bike trainer to use at home. A bike trainer is great because you can use your current bike, and the cost is < $300 for the trainer. Some are pretty quiet too, so you could set it up in front of the TV every night and workout then.

Also 6-10 miles isn't very much at all. I was doing 20+mi every morning before work and even then I felt like it wasn't that much. If you want exercise to work you need to do it at a moderate effort for around an hour or so. The previous poster that suggested a heart rate monitor is right on. If you haven't been working out then you have no idea what "moderate" is, and the HR monitor can help tell you.

Once you lose some weight try running - but take it very very slowly. Running (at least for me) keeps my weight down a lot more than biking. So if you can slowly (MAKE SURE YOU DON'T OVER DO IT!!!) get into it, it will work wonders.

Here' a jump start

do a google search on green coffee bean. it really works. It's not magical or anything but it does help, not like other pills.

i went from eating white rice to brown rice only during my slim down months (3 months total)... lost so much body fat of course with corresponding work outs

i now only eat brown rice on my carb days and for non carb days i use greens such as spinach and lettuce... it's hard but ull get used to it

try to go down to 3-4 days a week of rice in the beginning and ramp down more as u get used to it

it can be done
