Hi Bud,
Any chance I can grab your number and have a quick chat with you? I have just got the initial quote for my 328i and its coming in at $90.5k OTR, which considering I have almost all the same options as you is STEEP! Cheers Chris

Hi Suff,
Autoclassic quote $77,959 drive away just for a 328i sports line with no options! I questioned why their prices were approx $3500 more than www.BMW.com.au and they said the website recommended prices were wrong, which I now believe was an outright lie! Suffice to say I have already drafted the letter to BMW Aust complaining about the service and messaging, I intend to get the best possible price I can from Auto Classic, then email BMW Aust with a request to, at a bare minimum reduce the price by the advertised $1,000 difference.. after all they wouldn't want the bad PR associated with false advertising I must admit that I am also quoting up a RR Evoque at the same time, and the service and buying experience from RR has been vastly superior to BMW's thus far!

Yeah, i considered sending an email to Phil Horton (BMW Aust Manager) with a copy of Autoclassic's price list asking him to, "please explain".
They just make stuff up. They told me $5000 dealer delivery! |

(2) Recommended by BMW Australia, but individual dealers may charge a different dealer delivery fee - which may be higher or lower. |

I'm fine with that, but I'll still push.. $1k in my pocket is better than theres (it'll only get spent on a Procede anyway!)

As we have recently discovered, the dealers charge whatever they want for delivery. It is WRONG to state rrp of $3000 for delivery when that figure is exceeded by a huge margin by virtually all dealers.
BMW Australia head office needs to be realistic with its website's citing of on road pricing.

Made some enquiries for you guys in WA through a dealer on the east coast. It was as I expected, there are some pretty strict "no poaching" rules in place for interstate dealers. At best they might be able to slip you a demo/ floor-stock if it was done on the quiet, but even then they're reluctant to risk the wrath of head office.
In their words "I understand the dealer in WA has the market pretty much sewn-up over there" which, reading between the lines, says to me you guys in WA aren't going to see anything different anytime soon unfortunately. I guess the question is - for $x, is it worth mucking around to buy and register a car in Vic/ NSW/ Qld and ship it over? |

I'd say that the saving would have to be >$2000 to make it worth the hassle of buying over 'East'. Our stamp duty in WA is the highest in Australia which we still have to pay, and it is going to be $1500 to ship it across by rail.

I have the hk Logic7 in my E90 now. I could not downgrade as I do like to listen to music with punch. The Logic7 delivers that punch very well. I expect even better from the F30's top line hk system.

Here's my quote including GST. The figure in ( ) is my saving compared to my initial non corporate quote and I assume there is an element of LCT (Luxury Car Tax). However the 328i is classed as a fuel efficient car by the ATO (Less than 7Lts/100km) so the threshold before LCT is payable is $75,375 inc GST. My fleet discount before GST was $1,945 and my reduced delivery fee for being corporate was $2,400 before adding GST. You add in free Mats at $370 and free servicing for 4 years Im pretty happy. 328i Auto $62,460.20 ($2,139.40) Luxury Line $1,537.80 ($612.20) Glacier Silver (Metallic) $1,414.60 ($545.40) Navigation System Professional $1,153.90 ($444.10) HUD $1,537.80 ($592.20) Internet functionality $213.40 ($232.60) Music interface + Extd. connectivity Bluetth/USB + DAB Radio $770.00 ($298) Dealer Delivery $2,640.00 ($360) Total before On Roads = $71,727.70 ($5,224.30) 12 mths Rego $580.00 ($0) Stamp Duty $4,479.00 ($330) Total On Road $76,786.70 ($5,554.30)

That is super quick delivery, where did you order if you don't mind me asking? Did you pick a car already in production? Mine is going to take another 3months ... ordered two weeks ago
