Problem CF Mirror Caps TETMOTORSPORT
Hello I'm open this topic to express my dissatisfaction with the company's TETMOTORSPORT product CF Mirror Cover , a few days bought one here in our forum developed by said company.
70 days elapsed between the shipment and receiving (the fault was my mail country) went to perform the installation , I used the tutorial here from a forum where I could remove the original mirror covers for installation of the CF Mirror Cover from TETMOTORSPORT , that's when the problems began. The covers are fixed with two screws with nuts , started installing by the left side ( the first one I was trying ) to cover just did not fit the cover house , if I fit on one side the other was crooked, after many attempts screws taken off the CF mirror covers and fell to the ground. Be extremely disappointed with what happened and gave up trying a solution , you could try gluing the screws with glue but it does not seem right to pay $ 250.00 for a product and then have to wear patches to be able to use it in my car . I do not expect this post to any compensation from the company TETMOTORSPORT. The product is beautiful'll but for my however did not work for me, I know several purchased with the company and are satisfied but I was not. |

Did you talk to the company and did they attempt to resolve the issue. I ask because you make no mention of that in your post, yet that is probably the first thing you should do before ranting about them on the forum. I do not know who they are, nor have I had any interaction with them, but all companies, even BMW, have issues that occasionally slip through the QC cracks. The merit of a company is how they resolve that issue.

@jfestrelabr Did you follow the instructions listed here, for "replacements"?
http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=708155 Are they "replacements" or "covers"? that should be established. The "replacements" do fit, as outlined in this thread... http://www.f30post.com/forums/showth...8#post14885498 If they are "covers", then you should have the necessities to "tape" it over the original OEM equipment. I agree with Mobster1983... get in touch with the company and try to resolve the issue. Cheers

They are "designed" to be direct replacements. I have the same ones but they fit fine, although I see how tightening the studs too far could easily break them off the CF. It's a shame and I don't think TET is on the forum anymore or even a forum 'sponsor' to begin with now that I think of it.

OP, looks like you might have to trial and error and use bonding-glue to put the screw plates back on the mirror caps. Hope you figure something out! |

Yeah that's the mirror I will be ordering. It installs and uses stock mounting points and you don't need to bolt it in anywhere. They have few on Ebay if you want to use that rather then Ali-express.

I sent the company an email, giving them a link to this thread, asking them to resolve the issue that you are having (No, I am not attached to the company or have any interests in the company). I hope they will be decent enough to address this with you to your satisfaction. Cheers

After waiting for a response from the company about the progress of my part for more than 10 days I gave up any contact with them and after having gotten my part I communicated to them and continued without answers, I gave up trying a contact.
But as was said above, I do not expect any compensation from the company Already bought another CF MIRROR replacement and pay for that Phas you was not offensive to me in no time, thank you for your attention to me and to other consumers. |

How hard did you tighten? I installed mine with little/no problems. Hardest part was taking off the old caps...
