E59 (100 octane) is where I landed after reviewing several logs. You'll want to look for timing pull of more than 3 degrees in any single gear. If you see a timing drop of more than 3 degrees, you don't have enough octane to run your current boost settings. With that said, E59 might be a good starting point. At E59, if your trims are maxed out, you might need to back it off a bit due to HPFP limitations.

Here's an E85 mix calculator http://www.intercepteft.com/calc.html (see octane results from blending two fuels). I downloaded one to my phone for easy access when pulling up to the station.

10gal of E85 + 5gal 93 octane = E60. I like to round stuff off

I hear you. Nothing wrong with that. I wish I could run more Ethanol. I am limited to E30 on my EWG platform .

We are officially working on an ECU flash tune specifically for the Pure Turbo upgrades with the idea that you can run JB4 on top of to control ethanol mix fuel scaling and meth injection. Our goal is to test it all together to make sure it works as a package.

Sentiment like this among different trim-levels always boggles my mind...
Yeah well, head over to the F80 post. God forbid you draw comparisons between the F3x and F8x. It's blasphemous to mention them in same universe, let alone the same thread.

It's cool to see the N55 perform at such a high level.
Being pretty new to the BMW scene this makes me excited. After doing a lot of reading and comparing between the N54 and the N55 I was a bit upset when I found out that my n55 car was not going to be able to make n54 numbers with such ease. With that being said I feel like the n55 is less problematic. I hope they can figure out a way into the ECUs and make these engines scream. BMW has always been the king, IMO when it comes to high performance L6 engines. I would hate to see the potential drop due to epa regs.

I am not sure we are going to see a proper flash for the F-series, but the tuning that exists now and the PURE Stage2, will give any N54 a run for its money

+1 pure turbo f30 335xi is a poor man's GTR. Weight is nearly the same, dynojet dynos from the same specialty-z dyno have very similar curve profiles.

It would be really cool if it could 0-60 in sub 3 like the gtr. 2014 335i's have launch control right? Do xi's?

F30 335xi
Pure stage 2
Downpipe
Chargepipe
Methanol or fuel pump upgrade
Upgraded axles
ZF8 TCU flash tune (availability?)
Upgraded rubber
500+whp/500wtq

$7-8k estimated parts cost.

Xi does have launch control. Although after numerous attempts i firmly believe its better to launch without it. Launch control is made for rwd and it softens the attempts made after since im guessing it adapts to the surface for less slippage but in xi, you want all that power. So DSC off and brake boost and BOOM!

Fastest time i've gotten is 4.0 with flash tune and dp measured via M Laptimer App

That's actually pretty impressive. Hell not many Porsches launch much faster and they have one of the best AWD and LC systems out IMO

You need a flash tune to accomplish that.
