You have got to be kidding me BMW!!!!
Are they so desperate for new designs that they make 2 cars soooo identical???
just a bit wider and longer? is that enough??
Somebody should fire the new head of design in Munich!

I will be happy only if we get an M3 coupe since the 4 series gets a sedan.

Wasn't the whole point of even and odd series to designate sedan and coupe!? What happened to that?

Patiently waiting for the reveal... I LOVE the 6GC other than the overall length - if this is a WIN on design it may have to be my next vehicle.

So now there'll be a 3, 4, and 5 series sedan, looking all a-like. BMW, make up your mind

That sir, is what they call marketing bull shit. They all come in 4 door flavors.

1 series 4 door hatchback
2 series 4 door (future gran coupe)
3 series 4 door sedan
4 series 4 door gran coupe
5 series 4 door sedan
6 series 4 door gran coupe
7 series 4 door sedan

What's wrong with selling the 3 series and 4gc side by side? They are very distinct.

One is a regular sedan, and the other is a low sporty hatchback. I would take the 4GC over a 3 series, but that doesn't mean I think the 3 series should be eliminated (or vice versa).

The A7 and A5 hatchbacks are really cool. In Los Angeles the A7 is extremely popular, more popular than the A6 or A8.

I visited the Brussels Car show last weekend and could enter that 'black box' to see the 4 GC and sit in it. I must say that I really like the looks of this car! For me they took the best from the 3&4 series and combined it in 1 car...

My real problem with this car is that 3rd window(not a BMW tradition at all) and hatch back = family sedan reminiscence. Not sport. A BMW GC should (in my opinion) be what the 6-Series GC is, a coupe with four doors. The 3-Series GT is there for those who want more practicality and still relatively sporty looks.

The 4-Series GC should be just as appealing if not more than the 4-Series Coupe. What is this 3rd window doing there? It really spoils it for me, it takes a lot of the sportiness out of it. Audi can do away with it because that's their design language. BMW can not and should not.

Agree...Looks identical to a regular 3....At least 6GC looks way different than a 5 sedan. Will have to reserve complete judgement until I see it in the flesh

Looks great, but i don`t like the rear-door cut line. I think it would be to similar with the 3GT with that design. The car should have the rear doors like 6GC.

Um, shittier head room. Equal handling(perhaps less roll). Less performance. Weak styling. Oh and you still drive a car made with sub par quality for more money (if its anything like the regular 3/4)

I'm sorry this just reminds me too much of the 3GT. Yes it has a slightly lower roofline, but the overall look is very similar. I'll wait to make my final judgement when I see one of these in msport trim, but the examples I've seen so far are blah. I'll take an F30 msport.

In the flesh i am sure they are very different. The GT is higher than the F30, the 4 is slightly lower than the F30 so the 4GC will be quite a bit lower than the GT.

Not sure about dimension, the 4GC also based on the long wheelbase 3er ?

Shittier headroom? Comes with the coupe design territory
Equal handling? Shows how much you know about the 4 series
Less performance? Please elaborate
Weak styling? Sure, that's subjective
Sub par quality? Again, not sure where you are getting your information

The Audi does look amazing. We have yet to see an actual f36 (only renders and camo'd tester cars so far), so I'm reserving judgement on which one will actually look better. I have a pretty good hunch the 4 GC will not disappoint.

So they make a M3, M4, M5, M6, M6GC, X5M, X6M but won't make a M4GC? A shame as I am pretty set on the M3 for my next car but might have spent the extra cash on a M4GC.

Can someone please explain the purpose of this car, been a BMW enthusiast for 30+ years.. I am lost as to why they would even put forth the effort, let-alone the massive costs.
