Does anybody know what this knob does

I've never popped my hood since I've bought my vehicle and recently did. I noticed this knob next to the intake. Does anybody know what it's used for? [IMG][/IMG]

it raises and lowers the speed of your Centrifugal Yarbal Fly Bearings, which in turn increases/decreases the amount of "rattling" you hear in your cabin.

That's gnarly. I'm able to adjust the rattling lol. It's like having a rattle snake and saying be quiet or rattle away lol

Looks like it could be either the high or low pressure hookup for the A/C system. It should just be a cap not a knob.

EDIT: Looks like it's the low pressure return valve. Part #7... http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=64_1924

It's weird because it spins and theres an arrow shape on it. I put it back to where it was at first but I had to see if it twisted at all

its 100% a fill port for the AC system. Not sure if its high pressure or low pressure.

It spins so that guys who have no clue what it is but decide to fool with it anyway won't end up with a face full of AC refrigerant.

Only if its clockwise. Anti-clockwise, it lowers the springs 10mm with every twist.

That's the adjustment valve for Mr Fusion to fuel your flux capacitor. Unless you want to get stuck in the 1800's don't fk with it by flushing what little radioactive fuel you have left.
