Exhaust tips - heat discoloration

Hi guys. I have the Cyba 3.5" tips on my car. While washing them I noticed that the inside part of the tip has what looks like discoloration and cloudiness that I think is a result of the heat and exhaust fumes. The haziness is hard to describe as I can only see it from certain angles. Its like a "ghosting" effect but its definitely there. Is there anyway to polish this out? I purchased some P21S metal polishing soap which helped a bit but I still see some haziness and discoloration. Perhaps I need a stronger metal polish?

Any help is appreciated.

I have that on 1 tip, but not the other. The other just has what looks like a stain on it. Haven't tried cleaning it yet.

I would polish it with Eagle 1 nevr dull and seal it with any brand of paint sealant.

Just checked again and they both have it. I thought these were stainless steel? Looks like its reacting with the steel on the stock pipes.

Whatever it is, it doesn't come off.

Experience tells me the soot that comes out of the exhaust accelerates corrosion. I often wipe my exhaust clean between washings, but in the end The effort is only delaying the inevitable. Two 335i Sport line (black chrome) are under $100 so it's not a big too big of a deal if I have to replace them after 75k miles.

I used this on my old 335 and had over 120k miles on it. The tips still Looked new. I also wiped them down every other day with just a dry towel.

I fitted the Black BMW tips and they have correded even more and quicker. Already had one set replaced after 1000miles and only 3 months. New set had different part number and are lasting a bit better but already showing. Only thing I can think off is swap them round every now and then to keep the damage equal at least.

This valve thin on 335i is really annoying
