Australia's best cars award for 3 series for medium >$50k
Not that it is a prestigious award, but the 320i has won best medium car > $50,000 in the australia's best cars award.
Nice to see the 3 series earn the recognition it deserves http://www.australiasbestcars.com.au/2012/mid_over.htm The M3 won best sports car >$80,000 http://www.australiasbestcars.com.au...ports_over.htm The 135i won best sports car <$80,000 http://www.australiasbestcars.com.au...orts_under.htm The one thing i will say is this award is more transparent than Drive's awards. At least this award releases the score sheets. I do question the selection of cars for both Drive and ABC though. For instance, they selected the merc c250 instead of the c200 or c180. They seemed to be choosing the base model for all makes except MB. Even though i agree with the overall result, i also question some of the relatives scores. Anyway, each to their own.

Both BMW and Mercedes are great cars. We have one of each.
