Hey guys,

I'm looking at building a retrofit on some LCI E90 headlights (2011), and I'd like to try adding OEM 2012+ (F30) Xenon LED angel eyes.

Any one have a badly (scrap) set with angel eyes intact? What powers them anyway? does it take power from the xenon ballast or a separate driver?

Theres a separate module that powers them. Number 3 in the diagram below.

My god F series XENON headlights are so much cheaper than E series on Ebay! it's nearly half the price for xenon ones.. may as well do a F30 front end retrofit I guess. =) Kidding.

Looks like it's the bulb unit that powers the LED ring.. cheap.. 80$ for a pair!
