I think they meant they are sleeved (but I don't know if they really are lol) , but after the whole closed deck not closed deck fiasco I don't trust much of the marketing.

I dont know what to believe from BMW marketing TBH.

Clearly the power bump in the N55B30T0 was and is all software related. Same bore same storke as the, as the N55B30O0. Same head. Same compression ratio.
Good highlights on the internal differences but that helps sustain durability and higher power outputs, unless I missed something and they did something else magic on the M2 how was power increased other than maxing out fuel trims and adding more boost via the same turbo utilized on the M235i..

Different part numbers or not, Its been posted on here side by side comparison an M235i and M2 turbofold log and snail are the same.
I still stand by my original statement below.

While the problems may not manifest themselves early in the life of a daily driven vehicles that do 10-20 second WOT pulls once in a while, tracking your car at 8/10ths+ for 20-30 minutes per session at a lot of events is an entirely different use case where you will likely be exceeding the engineering envelope of the vehicle when you're operating outside factory parameters.

I agree tracking it for that duration will add stress and quite frankly an F30 is family sedan first and sporty 2nd its not even meant to live on the track.

As far as oil consumption, EVERY car consumes oil. They all have a PCV valve and oil blow by. Check your inter cooler, check your charge pipes and intake manifold. You may have a rare case of the car not using as much, but Ive had 2 F30 N55 cars, 2012 was a lease bone stock beside window tints, and it consumed oil every 2,000 miles about a quart. My 13 F30 uses about a quart every 500-750 because its pushed hard.

There are a ton of people on here running heavy mods, PS2 turbos, and dont consume as much oil as some. Every car is different. I have seen that 9 out of 10 times its a simple issue as the oil filter housing leaking, or a blown pcv valve, cracked hose, or leaking on the drain plug because dealer didn't torque it properly. I think he was just looking for something to go off of and common issues.

IMO there is a place on here for guys like him that mod and enjoy the car and frequent here for all reasons, and guys like you that keep it within oem spec and are an frequent track rat. Nothing wrong with either.

So, what is that, every 15000 miles? Yeap keep dreaming on that side of the bed with that stupid BMW oil change interval. What make you think thy are changing some engine to 10k miles now.

Either way, I dont have to add any oil and I do my change every 5k miles.

It will help, but it will not fix the issue.

this problem is not worth fixing.. you will need to take apart the whole engine, install new piston rings, new valve stems ETC. and carefully break in those parts again to ensure a good seal. may as well just get a new motor and hope it doesnt burn oil.

a good 5w40 oil could go along way.. and also refraining from redlining the shit out of it on every street of course.

My personal OCIs are either every 5,000 miles if there's track time or every 7500 miles if it's just being daily driven. 72,000 miles on the engine in stock configuration already and it has not burned any oil that I've noticed.

I used M1 0w-40 in the past, but now I use Castrol Edge 0w-40.

Did you break in the car?
Exhaust plume means oil is most likely getting into the cylinder maybe from blow-by.. that would be the best case scenario.. try an oil catch can and see what what you get in there..
Hopefully its not a seal problem..
