Car looks great in person and I like the fact that it is unique among all the BMWs driving around here in LA & OC. I like how simple the interior was with only a few buttons and that the ignition button is on the steering wheel. Seats were comfortable and on the highway it was quiet. I was seriously about to purchase it but the "product genius" told me that they are not giving any incentives... Plus the car had 100 miles on it already! He told me that lots of people have been coming in just test driving them without buying. They got 10 last week and sold 4 already. 1 Quad with a 20k markup...

Did you test drive the Quad or the turbo 4?

The guys on The Grand Tour liked parts of it, but found its ergonomics horrible.

I thought the ergonomics were fine. Driving position / visibility was like a F30. Everyone has their own opinion.

Just the Turbo 4. The person helping me said the Quad went the first day they got it and the person who bought it paid the markup of 20k.

LOL. I shouldn't be saying anything too since I did test drive it and did not buy.

In any case, I am going to see if they will work with me and drop the price because of the mileage on it already. I would have to assume it is over 100 miles now and is going through a rough break in.

So you were impressed with the base engine? More importantly, the handling (how similar is it to the Q?)?

Which was one reason I have a GC vs a 3 series .

No reason for incentives on a newly introduced car, especially one that is barely being released. That happened to me when I looked at the new (then) S3. No one dealt on them below MSRP.

Before I ordered my 340i I was considering getting the Quadrafoglio. But had to stick with my brand BMW.

..... Of course my wife owns a 2017 Audi S3 which is a competitor.

Jeremy liked it (Alfa fan), the other guys basically reminded him it was an Alfa.

The one thing I really dislike is the fact that you cannot put a front license plate on the Alfa without completely destroying it's looks. Front plates don't look great on a BMW either, but at least there's a place for them.

I considered an S3...riot to drive (arguably more fun/tossable than my 335i), but I couldn't get over its pint sized packaging and auto only transmission. I LOVE its looks though. What do you guys think about your S3?

To be honest, its front-end reminded me of a '59 Ford Edsel

Agreed...although the turbo lag was more noticable to me and was a turnoff. Still love the looks though and you don't see many on the road. The what, 280hp was appealing although I'm guessing I'm pretty close (gross) with my tuned GC and more usable space. The 2017 S3 has a refresh and looks even nicer than before......

Good point..seems the lefthand side based on the released pics. I'd have to buy the retractable set up that pops up from the bottom I think.......

Retractable setup won't work if you get the dynamic front spoiler...one of the best options on the QF

I can see that as well. I wish the triangle was a little smaller

I like the car overall except that front grill. Never liked the Alfa triangle grill but at least the rest of this car looked good.

If Alfa proves themselves on the reliability end I'd seriously consider the Quadfragelo or whatever.

We love our S3. Its a great car buttt... it's not built to carry a bunch of people. Especially after coming from a 2014 S6. Performance, Handling, Braking, etc... is all great! Sadly car has been in dealership for 1 week because they cant figure out the car violently shaking when coming to a stop. They replaced brake rotors, Pads, etc... but the issue is still there love the car but not the fact that we don't have it now. But on the bright side they gave us an 2017" S8!
