In the 4 series Idrive where you have navigation you have a wider screen.
And with that option you see cover art when playing music from an external USB flash drive.Meaning you see the cover of each album as a small image...really nice

However how does it work if I have an Idrive without navigation and therefore the smaller screen...do I still see cover art when playing music from the flash drive or??

Does anyone have a picture n how that look??

Couple of options:

1. If you have the combox, you can code 6NK to enable enhanced bluetooth, which will allow artwork and playback via the apple cable/ipod.

2. Embedded the images into the MP3 files and they should just work off a USB stick.

Hi Well yes I understand how to get the cover art to be shown if the function is there as can be seen from my image that I took with my camera...
But that is when the Idrive has the wider screen and navigation system option.

My question is if you still can see cover art if your car has the smaller screen that you get if you do not order the best navigation system??

I've answered your question.

If you have HU_ENTRY (6.5" screen with no nav), and you want music artwork, you must either have the enhanced bluetooth (6NK) to see artwork from your ipod/iphone or you embed the images into the files and then play them off a usb stick.

I guess it might be a language thing maybe...
But all my mp3 files are tagged with the cover art image together with other mp3tags like albul, title, artist and so on..

But are you then saying that if I have tagged the files so the image is included in each file..then it will display the cover art when played..in the same manor as in the image above??
Meaning I can see cover art even in the smaller screen?
You dont have an image on how that look as well??have searched for that on internet but havent found any..

I took this image ages ago. I had HU_ENTRY with 6NK and my brother has HU_ENTRY with 6NH (no combox). Both cases we see artwork. I was pushing it via the iPod and he was doing it via a USB stick.

I've since retrofitted the ProNav with 6NS.
