So far everything is working fine iPhone 6 Plus.

I did notice after reading a txt through iDrive, iPhone now automatically dismisses the notification and marks the txt read. iOS 7 didn't do this and drove me crazy!

Can anyone else confirm?

Maybe they will be nice enough to have the car make a noise when a text message comes in, instead of waiting for the little envelope to show up.
I know. I hate missing text messages.

I have an iPhone 5s with iOS 8 and I seem to be having some strange bugs. I can't get my calls to work properly (although Bluetooth audio streaming is fine). When I call, it will sometimes disconnect on its own, or sometimes it won't even dial out. Phone itself works perfectly fine, so my guess is that it has something to do with the pairing/iDrive. I'll try what one of the other posters did - I'll disconnect and re-pair my phone.

They said to check www.bmw.com/update at end of October. However I'm not going to hold my breath.

Next time I need to make a call, I will call BMW assist and have them call for me since my Bluetooth is so out dated.

Same issues for me. My 5s w/ iOS 8 worked just fine.

My iPhone 6: Streaming Pandora works. Phone calls were working then they started the vehicle started to disconnect when the caller answered and my phone would be unresponsive until the person hung up.
Now when I attempt to dial out using the iDrive it does nothing.

WTF!?!?!?!?!?

Yeah I wouldn't hold my breath for the update being released at the end of October...not unless you want to be Estoril Blue in the face.

Siri works on iPhone 6 for me. Used it multiple times last night. This kind of inconsistent behavior really sucks.

iOS update 8.0.2 did not fix my bluetooth issues on iPhone 5 with MY2012 - the bluetooth software update for my car is out dated and old - the update is from 2012. Come on BMW update the software more frequently.

Not on cars with older versions of Bluetooth software.

It's working on cars with updated Bluetooth software.

Hey guys.. so I know my specific issue w/ ios 8 and my new VZW iPhone 6 is with Voice over LTE (VoLTE.) It appears the cars' BT software is not fully compatible w/ the 'new service' When I changed LTE to data+voice, all my problems started as you guys described above.. After I changed it back to just data.. all resolved. However it also now means I can't have voice and date over 4G/LTE.. that's a huge plus for VZW customers.. need BMW to develop a patch ASAP!

I have been using iOS8 on iPhone 5 for MONTHS on the betas. Worked fine, except killed texting. Texts came back with the gold master.

Feel free to ask specific questions and I'd be happy to test
Jsdrv1...

You're telling me with iOS 8 an iPhone 6 you're receiving texts?

Wow, I have a 5S (6+ in the mail) and iOS 8.02 and I haven't got any text to work..how was your set up? Would you consider making a short YouTube video about going through your entire connectivity set up?

Thank you,
Bob
