Now on bavsound website the amp is $997 and it says not compatible with my 13 f30 HK. The bimertech website has it for $849 and doesn't specify fitment by oem audio, just fit all f30. Is it work with HK or not?
This setup comes like this.

$800 for 14 speakers
$500 for 2 subs
$850 for amp.
$2150 total

If it is night and day compare with my oem HK will do it. But if is NOT. I dont think is worth it.

Stick with the H/K (unless you really dislike)... you already spent the extra coin in the option sheet.

Search the forums for folks that have HK, but just replaced speakers. I hear they like the results.

Yeah I was thinking just to change the subs first to check the result, then some speakers not all. HK sounds good just not the same as my old e90 and e70 with the logic7. This one is logic7 also but don't know why doesn't sound the same.

My current setup is LHD, Bavsound Stage 1 Mids and Tweeters, Bavsound Ghost Underseat Woofers, and an Infinity 10" trunk subwoofer in a sealed enclosure powered by a 500 watt mono amp. I would say that this tune might not be the best for people with no trunk sub, as I have the setting for the underseats geared towards a setup with a true subwoofer in the trunk to handle the heavy stuff. If you do happen to be running a subwoofer, just adjust the gain on that amp to suit.

Hopefully this helps someone out, I haven't really had time to go back and fine tune it but hopefully this will get you guys close.

Loaded this one up today!! Well done

Our amp is only compatible with Hifi system in the US and Base and Hifi system in the rest of the world.

Question, I have to utilize Channel H to get signal to my trunk sub setup and noticed your tune had this channel off. How are you getting signal to your Infinity setup? I know I made changes to your i/o but didn't pay attention to what you originally had setup, I just remember H was "not assigned"

Once I get my Musicar enclosure and AudioFrog GS10D2 installed, I'll tweak and post the results.

It has been a while since I have messed around with the tune, and don't recall exactly. I just checked my tune file and I believe it is running off of Channel G, because I had the crossover set lower for the true subwoofer than Channel F which I believe is the under seats.

Thanks ronanz! Appreciate the the comment. I will probably be fine tuning t hings further when I get a chance, as I have noticed some areas that could use some tweaking after running this tune for a while.

Will update with a version 2.0 in the near future when life isn't so crazy, but glad you like it so far. Thought it might be a little rough as this was my first stab at it.

Hey everyone,
I've been doing a lot of reading recently and I have a few questions that have not been covered in great depth or at all. I just installed my my BSW Stage 1 speakers yesterday in my HiFi equipped F30 and am already impressed, but know I can do better. I got lucky and was able to snag a great deal on the Bimmertech amp from a forum member in the Member's Classifieds who already had the Stage 1 speakers and the amp is tuned as such. I currently own a JL 12W3V2 sub and a 500/1 amp that I plan to install but may upgrade in the near future for a 12W6 and a 600/1 since I work for a company that sells JL's home products and can get a great deal. Here are my questions:
1: How does having a trunk sub affect the tuning? I realize it changes the dynamic of the sound so I'm sure I'll want to take that into account.
2: What tuning files are out there for a BSW stage 1, OEM underseats and a trunk sub?
3: If there are multiple ones, is anybody running either of the specific JL subs and amps mentioned above?
4: Since the amp has RCA out and the battery is in the trunk, I'm thinking I should be able to do the install myself. I haven't seen anything about there being a 12v trigger output to go from the Bimmertech to my sub amp. Is there one? If not, does the amp have some other way of signaling the sub amp to turn on? Do I need to tap in somewhere on the harness?
Sorry for the long post but in a nutshell I have BSW stage 1 and Bimmertech amp and want to know all the best practices for adding a trunk sub. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Anyone having problems with flutter in the bavsound subs? I have bavsound speakers and subs and the 3rd version of the dsp. The f30 community on bimmertech amps is much larger so i thought i may get more help with tuning here. I need an audio tuning for dummies book!

Hi Matt!
That sounds like it will be an awesome setup!

However ... I think you should post this in a separate thread, as THIS thread is dedicated to the TUNING FILES of the PP82DSP.

By putting this out as it's own thread you'll get a LOT more eyes on it and have a lot better chance of getting a reply than in this small, dedicated thread...

Just IMHO ...

All the Best, PuterPro

Hi Jrod, I'd cross the front at 110hz -24db attenuation and rear at 120 -24db Center speaker at 240hz -18db, -1 or -2db gain.. Subs at 120hz -18db. +1 or +2 gain.
Break-in your speakers for a week or two than try adding +1 or +2 gain on the front and rear speakers.
Leave the EQ flat and lower only the points closer to the attenuation.
Tune your speakers in pair (click both front right and left speaker/ rear left and right / both subs together) click mute on individual channels to get an idea what is what.
Setup time alignment by ear.

Tuning is easy once you understand what are you speakers capable of.
Downloading and installing tunes is a great reference, but most of them would not suit you. For example you might listen only on medium volume (lower crossover points possible, better mid sound) or higher volume (lower crossover points not possible, weaker mid)
Also depends on the genres of music you are playing , speakers may distort on some genres if you crossed them/EQ too aggressively but same configuration will sound great on other genres.

Hey constantin! Thanks for giving me the advice for these speakers. I had a feeling there wouldn't be many people out there with them. I'll try that tune out tomorrow.

P. S. Thanks again, they sound great!

Thought I'd post my tune too in case it helps anyone! I listen to mostly trance/electronic, but some rock music as well (Jimmy Eat World, Blink-182). I set the car's stock equalizer treble and bass all the way to the max, and then I based my tuning of the amp off of that.

FYI: I have a '13 328i with stock speakers and Bimmertech Amp.

Remember to rename the file extension to "afpx" after downloading.

Just got my amp 2 days ago and loaded the bsw bimmertech file yesterday. Sounds very good but would like more samples for my F30 Hi-Fi with Bavsound Stage 1. Ghost subs expected to arrive this Wednesday.
