How isn't it possible? I did a track event prior to the spoiler, and one immediately after...i felt it was more planted above 100mph. I wish it was marketing hype....but it's real.

yeah, i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw that response as it sounded pretty ridiculous for there to be "tons of different springs." but i figured, i have no reason not to trust him. he was pretty honest with me about there not being any timeline related to an MPPK for the 328i, so gave him the benefit of the doubt on the springs...

In the ETK springs table, there are 20+ options to choose from, resulting in many iterations. I believe each option adds to the loads in the front and rear axle from the base car.
Based on these options, the type of spring is identified - there are only about 2-3 springs options (M performance) for the front and the rear. In reality, a base 3-er with 4 adult passengers will weigh more than a fully decked out 3-er with no passengers. Considering the dynamics of the car should not change too much with/without passengers, all springs should be able to handle a small variation in gross weight. You wouldn't be too wrong with any combination of springs. Last edited by ngbernie; 01-09-2014 at 04:46 AM.. |

Dinan springs are now available to order. Just heard from the West coast rep. This makes the decision as to whether or not to try the M Perf springs much more difficult now.

I wonder how the dinan springs would match up with bilstein b8 shocks. I have a new set of eibachs at home which I'm doubting now since dinan is out...

I'd say the Dinan springs would be better from a performance perspective. But I'll probably try the springs first and then see if a shock upgrade is necessary. The dinan springs are designed for the stock shocks and are stiffer than stock, so they should improve the handling/ride, unlike the eibach prokit which is mainly just for looks.

Have a question! If I have m performance suspension, can I use eibach lowering spring with it? Think I'm first with such a question

Ordered m performance springs for my friends 328i rwd with standart suspension. The shipment is about 3-4 weeks. When we try to install it, I'll post information

Don't think that will be a good setup. Theres a reason why the m performance springs are mated to the "m performance shocks"

I think it'll still be better than going H&R or Eibach. The M perf springs have such a small drop that there is no way they could cause problems with the shocks. It's basically stiffer/stock springs The only reason no one did it is because no one wanted to be the first haha. |

I say go for it! I can't see how there would be any negative impact, since stiffer springs on softer shocks is better than softer springs on stiffer shocks. Anyway, even if it feels weird, it'll be great to get confirmation on the effects after your installation Don't forget to report back!

I am interested in pulling the trigger on M Perf Springs w/ DHP as well. I want a drop but nothing too slammed, due to limitations in places I drive and some minimal bottoming out as is. Hopefully someone will be our test dummy soon and report back!
