M Performance Power Kit Details

The item is available. I recieved them into inventory today and there are roughly 90 left in the US as of noon today. Our parts system shows that it will fit ALL F30 335 11/2012 and newer. No ETA on prior production except the DME will be replaced like the early production E9x 335. Shouldn't be much of a price difference if any. DME should come preprogrammed by VIN with the software upgrade when available.

Ask your local dealer to try and order it for you by VIN. It's possible that it's available now. BMW's inventory usually doesn't show stock available for parts that have to be ordered by VIN.

If this is indeed true, then it is very good news for those without M-sport and wanted to go with a PPK (instead of Dinan, JB,etc).

I just ordered it for pre 11/12 from Tischer. Hopefully it doesn't take too long and it's not much slower than my burger Motorsport tune. I can sell the BMS and with the extra money for the upgrade to stage 2 I was going to do I'm only spending about 400 more. I'm also getting the other goodies like intake and engine cover with full warranty. Hope it's noticeable.

That's my question too. My car was built in November of last year so hopefully no issues installing it. Also, does it have to be detuned and brought back to stock when lease is over ?

No, this part can be residualized and SHOULD stay on when returned. Talk to your dealer.

I bought it from a BMW dealer. Tischer BMW aka getbmwparts.com. It states up to 11/12 with new dme. It will be fine ill just have my local dealer install it.

I might run into an issue with my car being a 12/2011 build!! Very early build. If not I'm used to running piggies anyway. Have a BT tool for f30. Ill finish my msport kit and get the splitter instead. No worries.

My dealer can't get the DME.

If I could get the DME, I'd order it on Tischer and have the dealer install it.

For those of you in Canada, my dealer placed an order yesterday (part was visible) but it did not "go through" for whatever reason. It looks like BMW Canada has not "released" this yet, for whatever reason... looks like a load of bullshit to me, but what the hell can I do ?

Anyone have better luck / info ?

I ordered from Tischer, they immediately replied with an email asking me to double check my VIN:

"Hi Luke, and thanks again for your order! Please confirm the last 7 of the vin of the vehicle so we can order the correct parts - the DME will come from Germany and likely be a couple of weeks. Thank again! -getBMWparts.com"

My service advisor also emailed me this morning letting me know the PPK is now available and he said:

"...these PPK are special order with programming codes and takes a few weeks to get in"

So, those of us with pre Nov-12 builds will just have to wait a couple weeks for the DME, which appears to be VIN-specific.

To answer a couple questions,
Your lease can be turned in with the ppk installed without any penalty. The ppk is a dealer only part and will not affect warranty in any way.
I'm also confirming that the coded DME for 10/2012 and prior production will be ordered by a dealer VIN specific and come pre-coded from Germany. Any dealer can install this or the FSC code for you.

I not only match prices guys and gals, I'll beat them.

I'm seeing 1 1/2 to 2 hours for the FSC code and related parts. Not sure yet on the early production DME but guessing 2-2 1/2

Do you have the pre 11/12 sport package or the pre 11/12 m sport package? I have a 2012 335i with sport package. I purchased the lauch edition which has almost every available option. I think the build date was 2/12. Just curious because I was under the impression that only m sport could get the ppk.

I have a very early build sportline. you can get it for sportline too. it doesnt have to be msport like originally thought. I bought my car off the dealer lot. It had just about every option on it and only had about 20 miles on it. It was actually built on 2011.

Mine too built 11/2011.

I think the M sport only was a joke by the M sport owners so they could zoom faster than the rest of us! (unless you're running a JB4 or something similar then all bets are off)
