LV= (Liverpool Victoria) - good for car insurance?

I've been getting quotes for renewing my car insurance, as it's up for renewal and my existing company wants to charge me a ridiculous amount more now that I've replaced my E46 with an F30.

I've just done an online quote with LV= (Liverpool Victoria) and their quote (£271, including legal assistance and protected no claims) is way lower than anyone else and a third less than my current insurers.

It's so low that it's made me a bit nervous - is anyone here using or used them and got any comments/feedback?

Thanks.

Tony

I'd be interested to know, too. LV offered me the lowest quote

I have been with them in the past, perfectly fine, although never claimed so wouldn't know that side of things. I have heard good stories of people that have claimed being sorted out OK. Just google the question, you'll get a better reponse.

But seriously £271 for a 335i? Wow that is cheap.

I've always found for me Direct Line to be the cheapest. But it all depends on many factors such as postcode, age etc...

I did a bit of messing around with insurance quotes the other day for a larf and a 335i came out about £270 too - and this was less than a 330d

I think an M3 was around £380 but needed a tracker to be fitted with DL.

If you do a search on e90post you find a few people who use LV. IIRC, most people say they are pretty good on the whole.

Garage List
I looked at LV when I was renewing last month. Unfortunately they weren't too competitive price-wise for me - probably the Brighton postcode

I am with LV have been for two years very good service and with fully comp you get new for old in the first year on new cars. Very good quotes as well.
