Wiper blade replacement
Has anyone had to replace their wipers yet? Mine are starting to streak a bit. When I was in Canadian Tire a few months ago they didn't have any aftermarket ones, but I haven't checked since. Will check this weekend since the dealer price seemed a bit excessive to me.

I think that wiper blades are included in the standard maintenance thing, along with brake pads, oil, etc.

My left wiper blade is crap to say the least. I am taking my car to the dealership this weekend and I will ask about this too. I have the rusted seats to tell them about and I hear a streaking noise every time I drive car after the parking brake has been on for a while (like overnight). |

I'd be interested in hearing whether anyone gets them covered by the Canadian maintenance program, but I'm not hopeful. |

What is everybody favourite after market wiper? Mine passenger side is streaking badly, and damn noisy as well (can't stand it anymore)...
Was thinking Bosch Aerotwin, but figured it could be BMW OEM supplier, so don't quite trust it People seems to like PIAA (ouch!), RainX and Valeo.... |

So instead of getting original wiper which kinda sucks since day 1, I'd like to try aftermarket. And I've learnt my lesson, since only passenger side is giving problem, I'm just gonna change that I have ordered RainX and Valeo, and still looking for Bosch Aerotwin (suspect this is BMW OEM). |

I'd just replace with the stock one frequently and Aquapel the windshield.
The RainX wipers are not very good. Got them and they lasted 6 months then no better than stock. BMW blades are very soft so they degrade very quickly. Its always been that way. |

I have an F31 (Sports Wagon) and a 3-year lease. My New York dealer told me I am allowed one set of wiper blades per year. Full cost for the BMW brand OEM front windshield blades is $80. My car is only 9 months into the lease. So I went to AutoZone and bought the Bosch ICON 24OE and 19OE (these sizes are for the wagon) I think the F30 is 17" and 24". Anyway the Bosch ICON fit and work fine -- just like the original OEM blades. Other blades I would consider: (F30 Sizing below)

I found inexpensive wiper replacements at Costco (actually for my MB-C-series) and found them equal or better than OEM for 1/3 the price. I'll try them as well for my wife's X3 when needed.

The Bosch icons are very good, can get at Canadian Tire, and match the BMW model almost exact.

Did they not come with adaptors, or do you mean the adaptors that came with them don't work for the F3x? I picked up a set for another car in my family (not a BMW) and they did come with a few different adaptors, one of which did fit that car fine.

OK, the Bosch Icons at my Canadian Tire are not the correct "OE" ones that have the proper hardware to fit our vehicles. They didn't have them in stock. Bought a set of Bosch Aerotwin and they installed fine. Around $95 for the two. Hopefully better than the crappy OEM wipers.
