Well, just spoke to the dealer and he's told me that my car's build starts on Week 16 (April 15) and that it's due with them on Week 20 (13 May). Happy days.

When did you order I was 20th feb told build mid April car mid may but may be brought forward to start of May let's hope so as killing the wait

Similar to last, I have gone for VSS and added HK. Deleted Adaptive suspension, everything else the same. But itching for an M3

I ordered mine on the 6th Feb. But the factory has been scratching its head over my choice of paintwork. They originally said the paint alone would add 8 weeks to the order. That is why i ordered it 4 weeks before they would start to build any of the diesel xDrives. I hoped it might speed up delivery.

I'm having delay after delay, slipped from April to May and now June due to issues with the 19inch alloys.

Is it worth buying them aftermarket and stick with the standard?

You'd effectively be paying twice for the alloys. If you're happy with the 18s then go for it.

IMO the 18s look nicer

Derek, I ordered mid Jan through Leaseplan - it's a company car. Initially it was expected in April, but due to an issue with Lease Plan placing order it was put back to mid May and no pull forward. There is major availability issues with the 19's so moved to mid June. 6 months now!

I may ask to see if BMW will compensate as a jeasture for the wait!

Honest opinion on 19s, are they worth the extra wait??

Very personal, but to me, yes worth the wait.
