Thumbs down Dark Burl Walnut Trim with Inlay?

What is up with the Luxury line's Walnut wood drum with the inlay - the line that runs across the wood trim?
Thoughts on this new look for 3-series wood trim?

Looks like a reflection to me. I think that's all it is.

Sorry. I am wrong. It's an inlay. There's a PDF catalog I downloaded that shows this trim as "4B8 Burl Walnut Trim with Inlay."

Walnut w/inlay is only available on the 7er in the past. Currently the only BMW apart from the F30 that have this is the F01 760i.

The 2-tone dash looks bad. The burl heading out of the armrest toward the dash does too. And they never got the saddle color right in the 3-series like they did in the 5.

Not a luxury look IMO.
