I'm having an issue with these parts. I'm trying to replace the Fog Light surround grill on the due to breakage.

My Car: 328i sport pkg

According to parts list:

51117279702 "Fog light Grill - Right"
51117300740 "Fog light Grill - Right with Sport Package"

So my car should take the 2nd one. The problem is that the dealer ordered the 2nd one which SHOULD fit my car but there is 20 square inches of plastic BLOCKING the intercooler. Then I confirmed that the broken part I took off my car has the 1st part number.

What the heck is going on?

Why do you have to replace the fog light trim. I just want to remove the chrome trim on the front bumper.
