To All The Bad BMW Drivers

To all the idiot drivers of the 335I thanks for all your accidents and we know who you are all since you all post your bad behavior on the forum here.

I got my insurance bill for the 07 335I and it went up for the first time since getting the car. I call my insurance company and guess what now with 6 yrs of data on the car they found that it is costing more to cover all the damage from all the accidents the 335I drivers are in. It is not much of an increase, about $100 for the year but I usually see about $20 or so decrease ever yr as the car ages. I am back paying what I was paying when I got the car new.

Oh my other cars went down the 335I was only increase. If you have State Farm i would expect your 2013 bill will see an increase since they now combined their database and can see how bad 335I drivers really are.

Far from that, and but hate paying for others bad decision, But since the increase is a % of what you pay, and I do not pay that much in the frist place and I have very good coverage. However I know many here pay far more than me so their increases will be much higher. My increase was about 15%

I'm thinking they just figured out it was a twin turbo... So look at it as though you got a bargain for the first 6 years.

do you really think insurance companies pool policy holders based on the car they drive?

Insurance companies pool to get the highest premium possible. If that is accomplished by blaming the rate on the car, they'll do it. Of course, they will also tack on extra premiums for a poor driving record, that's a given.

Mine went up too.

I thought pooling policy holders by the car they own is exactly what they do, no? Otherwise why are specific cars more expensive than others?

My Travelers car policy went up as well. I would bet it has something to do with Sandy or just the shitty state of the economy. It certainly isn't my driving.
