4 Series F32/F36 LCI facelift?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Does anyone know approximately when the 4 series will get an LCI refresh? or when are the rumors suggesting?

Will it be for both the F32/F36 at the same time or different times since I think the GC came out a bit later than the coupe.

Thx

Per my service advisor, the LCI 4-series is going to have the B-column deleted in the 2017 release. That should look mega hot!!!

That would look nice, but I can't believe your SA actually knows. If BMW told the SAs about future changes, as you can see here, they wouldn't be secret very long....

No B-Pillar? Hmm...that would entail a distinct loss of structural support and integrity. I am skeptical, particularly in regards to the GC.

Your SA knows nothing.

I think the LCI for the 4 series is coming as MY2018, not MY2017. We should see the 440 and (I think) 430 later this year, though.

Nonsense! The B pillar is essential to structural rigidity and provides the car with a far stiffer body shell in keeping with assisting BMWs dynamics.
It will not be removed because of a vanity issue some have.

Good news, JR! You can already buy this cool new 4er without the B pillar.

Go back to your dealership and speak with a salesperson. Ask them to show you a 4er "convertible".

I don't need my B pillar removed, but do wish it were thinner.

No way a structural change like that would be made with an LCI. Facia is about the only change you'll see along with tail lights.

Based on today's press release for the MY2017 resembling the MY2016, I think this has been confirmed that MY2018 will be the LCI.
