2012 BMW 3-Series Sedan (F30) dreamed up in Photoshop by France's Automobile Magazine

French publication Automobile Magazine has just published these new renderings on what a possible next generation F30 3-Series could look like. While my first gut instinct when looking at these was that they took the concept 5-Series GT Clay Model's very sleek front end design and applied it to the future 3-Series I have to say the result does work. The details are still a bit to concept-ish and aggressive for a production 3-series, but the general underlying theme does flow quite nice and could be a success if something like this was taken to production by BMW. But you be the judge!

That's funny...I was just reading this on BMW Blog and jumped over here to see if it was posted.

Looks good, although there are obviously allot of small design details that need to be finalized, but I like it.....

I can't wait to see the real thing.

That gaping front end leaves a little to be desired however......

I can't believe that i am saying this, but I like it. If the real thing looks close to the 1st shop up top I am game... of course the weight is another I'll be watching.

Looks like they took the kidneys from the 5 series, the headlights from the z4, the side panel from the current e90, and the tail lights from the G35 and POOF...

Its cool to see how all these Car Magazines are using 3d images to get as close to future designs as possible.

No more of the old pic of test mules... and disguised cars.

This is becoming very interesting.

..a not so recent trend in car magazines (in particular Automobile US) is showing pictures of cars and not stating if they are renderings or real photos.. it is increaseingly dificult to tell the difference... maybe it is a small point but I really have my experience ruined when a magazine I buy cant at least tell its audience this... I was a hold out but I am just about ready to call it a day on print magazines in hte auto world with this and two page spreads killing cars lines in hte fold.... ever since GM crashed no ad revenue... down the crapper
