I ordered from skene design, should be coming soon (hopefully before i get my new bumper)

http://skenedesign.com/FPBracket/Euro.shtml

you drill holes in parts not directly visible.

looks better than the tow hook ones (if youre keeping them on long term).

+1 on this. Just haven't got the time to actually put it on. I got the Euro plate size so I can mount my Zoll plates.

The NY retro yellow/orange plates actually look OK on black Ms so I mounted missionary style this time.

Not a fan of the offset...

I have a tow hook mount but I haven't been running it frankly.

I pee a little when I drive past the police but I do it everyday and so far haven't seemed to attract much attention.

The yellow NY plates just look awful...the retractable style is pretty slick though.

I don't really want to run a front plate and it's usually not a problem in TX, but it can be an easy reason for a cop to stop me. I still can't decide if i like the look of a towhook plate or not.

Can someone with a M-Sport bumper post a few picture of their towhook setup?

+1. I let them put it on. I don't get the "don't drill" stuff when you have to have the plate on there...

Meter maids can give you a ticket for invalid equipment/no front plate. Esp in towns where they have dedicated code enforcement they love to make that money.

BavFan, no worries about the adhesive on the velcro strip marring the paint in anyway?

Thanks.

Ok, makes sense then. I'd still be more concerned while actually driving.. Cool concept but seems like I would only retract it when I'm parked in my garage or a work garage, etc..

I drove my M3 for 6 years without a front plate. But I made sure to park on side streets off main Boulevards as the meter maids will ticket for that.

On the 335i I assumed the dealer would mount the bracket, but when I picked it up they said customers don't like it--so they don't automatically do it.

My front plate is not mounted right now. I have some strong 3M double-sided tape used for mounting automotive trim pieces and such.

I want to use this tape to mount the OEM plate holder, without drilling. I haven't done a test fit yet, but the M-sport plate holder does not seem like it has enough surface area to attach to the bumper with just tape, i.e. it looks like it needs screws.
