Looks like a nice exhaust. Just spent a bunch on winter wheel package so I can't pick it up. Bump for a good seller though. GLWS.

Basically just because its too loud more my taste as a daily driver and car that I have to drive clients around in.

I'd say if stock system is a 1, borla with DP is a 7 or 8. I would guess that Borla with stock DP would be a 4 or 5. I never tried it with my stock DP but I have lots of experience with other exhausts with and without down pipes, hfc, and catless. Removal of the cat makes all the difference in the world. Performance of the dp is more important to me than the sound of the exhaust.

Mike, I chatted with you a month or so back regarding the noise factor (we also have two little girls...don't want them to have to plug their ears lol...). But I think you answered my question with your ratings....if "1" is stock with stock DP, then the Borla is a 4 or 5 with stock DP. I am not switching out the downpipe, so sounds perfect for my taste. I know you mentioned a few scratches from install and uninstall (that's to be expected)....what is the condition of the tips themselves? Any scratches or corrosion?

I'm in OH (44023)....I assume the same $$ would apply?

Yes the price is the same to Ohio. The tips are in perfect condition - no scratches, corrosion or anything. Any blemish on the system is under the car and does not effect the system in anyway. It's a complete non-issue. Just giving full disclosure

This is tempting, but I really need to hear what a stype with OEM downpipe vs. atak with OEM downpipe sounds like.

Yea I hear ya. S-type will give you a slightly lower note and be slighly quieter than the Atak. It's just personal preference but after my experience with the S-type and the aftermarket DP, I think the s-type would be perfect with the stock downpipe (but that's coming from someone who doesn't like crazy loud).

Old thread, but.... I saw your comparisons and ratings of sound and volume on a 1-10 scale. If catless DP + Borla scored a 7, and stock alone is a 1, what would a catless DP alone score (with stock non-MPE)?

Trying to weigh out whether I should just go with an aftermarket exhaust (Borla S) from the get-go, or start with a downpipe with my original stock exhsust? Of course, that would require a tune to clear the CEL
