The good thing about silver is that scratches are hard to see.

I don't normally fancy silver coloured cars. But this car is an exception.

Bloody awesome I say.

I'm glad I saw this thread I know its winter but im thinking about spring. I'm happy to see that you were able to go with 275's on the back thats my plan too. I have a 2016 340i xdrive msport. Will look even more like a m3 to the untrained eye.

I think this setup might be the perfect compromise! Reduce the front poke as 255/35 results in but still fairly wide tires to avoid stretch as much as possible.

F: 9x19" ET29, 245/35-19
R: 10x19" ET40, 265/35-19

I would really like to see photos of this setup on a 3 or 4 Series.

I'm not lowered and no plans for it at this point, though Adaptive M Suspension.

Thoughts?

Anyone.

If your buying tires, i would suggest running these specs.. the photos can be found on post 25 & 26

Love the 437Ms for sure! Looks amazing on our F30s..

but yeah, I like to switch things up. LOL. I'll let you know when I get them
The tires i'm running is b/c i bought them already mounted from from a local M3 owner...(who has one of the sickest M3's around btw...). The tires only had like 3K miles on them so i decided to keep my setup until i need new tires. i drive my car so infrequently, that will like 4 years..lol

Thanks

It's just when importing tires from Europe, one cannot really test out multiple sizes.

Was leaning towards 245/35 and 265/35 but now reconsidering that for 235/35 265/30.

EDIT: Done. Putting on the Continental SportsContact 6 235/35 265/30. Too late to change now.

Wanted to give a long term update....

So it's been about 1yr & 2 months since i've had the rims/tires on my car..

My mileage just passed 36K... so that means i've put about 6K on my car in that time span & my rear tires are absolutely bald on the outside of the tire... some tread left on the inside.. the front tires are fine. Not going back with Michilin Pilot Super Sports b/c the 300 UTQG at 300 is too low for me (and i think they greatly exaggerate that # anyway, i don't know anyone that is getting 30K out of that tire, especially when you can't rotate on a staggered setup).

After a lot of back & forth on my part.. i have decided to with the same specs of tires that are on the M2 that is equipped with the 437m rim which is a 245/35 & 265/35. I had too many places that didn't wanna touch the 235/35 & 265/30 combo.

New tires are going on tomorrow. Admittedly i didn't do an alignment b/c i had just done one with my OEM rims & tires that were installed 4K miles earlier but that was huge mistake. I don't want to be chewing through $1200 tires ever 6K miles...

I'm taking my car to a BMW performance specialist shop locally & I have talked in detail with them about the situation. They are going to do an alignment as it is now & then after the new tires & see what adjustments they can make. B/c if i'm in spec & burning through tires every 6K, i will have to get some hardware to allow additional adjustment. Will keep you updated.

Very interested in seeing what you do with the alignment. We talked about this in the other thread about tire pressures remember?

What are they going to target with respect to specs? Pretty sure the factory F3X dimensions are worthless with such a big change in offset and wheel/tire size.

It's funny you posted as I've been searching high and low all afternoon looking for info on the factory scrub radius dimensions. Pos or neg? Magnitude? Can't find anything haha

As I had said before, I had no issue from 2 different BMW Dealers who. Had no issue putting those sizes on. I even told them it has been reported on the forum that other had stated some installers had issues. Both stated they don't understand why someone would say that.

Regardless, I believe you told me the people who had stated their objection to the size were not BMW Dealers, but some Chain Tire Shops.

Whatever. I bet those shops would REALLY freak out with those trying to stretch their 225/40/19s across the front.

Ive always loved the 437m but thought the black ones were too aggressive looking for the F30. Yours i though looked better from the frontal pics on the 403 wheels.
Then I saw your wing and dinan pipes and the "blackness" with the tint and decals works abit better..
congrats its an aggressive F30 4sure

Ive never liked our front fender lights tho what can we do about those?

Some updates since we last spoke via text. Crown BMW in Greensboro didn't wanna touch it.. The service advisor told me they wouldn't take any responsibility if any damage happened to my rims from stretching the tire to go on them & or if the tires leak around the bead due to over stretching. Hendrick bmw in Huntersville would probably have done it but it's moot point to me now as i decided not go that route.

That doesn't sound like they refused to do it.

Regardless, if anyone installs any non-standard item on a car, doesn't one do it at their own risk?

My biggest concern was clearing the m sport brakes since there is less clearance with the 437m wheels

Keep in mind these are M3 rims that fit the M3 competition Brakes... And also the M performance brakes on the M2. What had you worried, the offsets for the F30????

Got my car back today... A few things.. First i really like the 245/35 & 265/35 setup... Took a few quick photos as a comparison.

Second, my alignment was way out on the rear.

Before

After

Tire pressure was set to 35 all the way around (same specs as F80 M3).

Reminder before with the 255/35 & 275/35

New photos with the 245/35 & 265/35

exactly

i know the m3/4 have big brakes ...
BUT
just using an online calculator, it said i would lose a bunch of clearance
so i needed to look around and found this thread
