Me too! I have the 'auto reset' checked too as I like knowing exactly what time I left home, how many miles, etc.

The lights on the inside of the visors will not turn on/will turn off if the visor is pushed toward the windshield. The lights work only when the visor is vertical (and the mirror cover is pushed to the side).

Timeshift/Traffic Jump

I know I have mentioned the superb interfaces of MOG radio, Pandora and Sirius, but I actually just got to reading the manual and the sirius functions are more than you can imagine. I just discovered that there is a one hour buffer with sirius that you can replay songs, etc. There is also a favorites alert for your favorite artists, songs or sports teams. There is also a function called Traffic Jump that toggles between broadcasting your music and traffic/weather. This is kind of neat, but Im sure it could be rather annoying. It would be nice in the event of tornado watches, etc. though.

Anyhow, Im glad I finally got to it!

That's the same for several generations of 3 series already...

Anyways, what i found cơol was: when you open one of the rear dơors; the appropriate ceiling lights will turn on for the same side...

something you probably would find on an S-Class decades ago, and now available on our lowly 3 series

There is a feature where you can set what time you want the fan to start blowing so that the interior is cool by the time you get in and one to keep the car cool if you're coming right back and turn the car off.

I'm hoping this is standard on all models.

It comes under "Parked car ventilation" in the owner's manual. Look under Settings>Climate in iDrive for the settings.

Get to that screen and then turn the car off. Once the car is off (first press of the button) it will allow you to press it.

I tried this in my other cars an from
what I remember it just circulates the hot air already in the car. I don't believe that it activates the AC. so in Florida it doesn't work all that well.

I just knew I should have forked over $600 for BMW Assist and $299 for BMW apps.

Yep, and the HUD does the same thing. White in the daytime and amber during evening/night.

The manual for the Parked Car Ventilation paragraph (p139) says: "Open the vents to allow air to flow out".

Presumably if that's not done then you just get recirculated air. Mind you, I've not tried that myself because it's been plenty cool enough the past two days.

Is that screen from an iPhone app? I don't see that option from my BMW Remote app. Thanks.
