And I've coded them so when I hold the lock button: mirrors folds, windows and sunroof closes

Found that the trim near the tail lights can be removed to clean super easily (zero tools). This is helpful when looking to remove debris out of the trunk's rain gutter...

Realized that I could de-select "Additional Info" from the instrument cluster preferences in iDrive, and the fuel economy/Eco Pro graph/meter disappears.

It's a small change, but for the amount of time spent looking at the cluster, it feels like a bigger improvement. Much cleaner and less busy.

I noticed it long ago, but just confirmed that the 6AT has an anti rollback feature when on an incline.

You cant do it with the sport screen activated. Navigate to the list that has the sport displays but dont click on it, just highlight it. Then try to store it to the button of choice.

Lol... I accidentally de-selected it one day, and I thought I had developed a faulty LCD panel.

I have had my car for over a year and I did not know this. It looks much cleaner.

Thanks!

This is great, I love a more minimal display too. Thanks! I never really played with the iDrive settings, but I turned off many things in the settings.

so silly question. Being that your key can remember certain things such as seat and mirror position, climate control settings, etc. Can you have different memory button settings (1-8) for each key? So for example, i program my 1-8 buttons with my key operating the vehicle. If my wife is operating the vehicle with her key, can she program the 1-8 buttons differently? and will the system apply those to her key?

or is the 1-8 buttons configured to just keep one set of commands.
Apologies if this has been covered previously in the forum somewhere.

It has been covered numerous times on pages 4, 15, 24, and 48 of this thread!!!!

But yes, you can program the memory buttons 1-8 differently for each profile.
In fact if you want the same functions, you'd have to program them twice if you have each key set to different profiles.

But you are not understanding something- the key doesn't remember all these settings. The key is only a tag for profile 1 or profile 2. Its the car that remembers all the settings for each profile. There is some way to export profile settings to another car but that is behind the scope of what we are discussing.

Edit: I lied about knowing what pages this was discussed in the past.

The HUD also works with the light sensor to alter the brightness so it is more visible. I have only noticed this lately due to the time of year. The sun is setting directly at the windshield on my commute home. When the sun is very bright, the HUD gets very bright so you can still see it. Turn away from the sun and the HUD goes back to it's normal brightness.

There's a little, paper clip-sized hole underneath the right side (US) mirror. Short press it once and the compass display will illuminate. You'll soon see why most people will leave it off. Its a bit of a bright distraction too close to the eye. If you check the onboard manual, you'll find a number of other functions of that pin hole button (search: compass).
Is this USA only?

definitely a pain until I tried sonax wheel cleaner, works very well. I just spray and rinse. Can scrub for more thorough results but who has the time.

After lowering my car, I can no longer get my foot swipe trunk to function. lol. Funny enough when my Westie runs underneath my rear bumper sometimes my trunk will pop open.

I wonder if I can recalibrate / repoint the sensor.

Make sure to check also the number of sensors, for the kick comfort access I know the new 2015 4 Series has Two (2) sensors. One closer to the bumper and the other a little further away.
