I also am a little confused. I thought BMW Assist came with the Tech package? I'm looking at my VIR right now and under the Tech package is BMW Assist with enhanced Bluetooth and USB, free of course.

Guys this is a MY2012 issue. Tech and BMW assist were separate. MY 2013 has them together under the tech package.

Are you sure it is included in the Technology Package? According to bmwconfig.com the technology package for the F10 (don't know baout the F30) is: (609 - Navigation system, 610 - Head-up Display, 615 - Online Information Services, 6NF -Smartphone Integration, 6NR - BMW Apps, 6UH - Real Time Traffic Information, 6WA - Instrument cluster with extended contents)

I don't see BMW Assist. I also don't see it actually as a stand alone option. What the heck is going on?

Correct. But you can still get Nav only, without Assist or HUD with MY13

With Nav only on MY13, Assist is included as a no charge option.

"609 will add 615, 6NL, 6UH and 6WA to the order"

Nav only vs Tech package = No Apps, Smartphone Intergration, and no HUD.

There is no training fee on the window sticker or the sale contract.

There is however a training fee on a dealer INVOICE, which is supposed to be an internal document.

If you buy a car at MSRP, or negotiate off MSRP - this will not be an issue, but if you work off invoice - this is a fee that is sharged to the DEALER, not the customer. You are paying for a lot of things when you buy stuff, like when you buy gas - you pay for the lobbies that work hard to screw us over, and the fact that there is no "lobby fee" on your gas receipt doesn't mean that you are not paying for it.

Wow, did not note that. That means Nav is effectively $1500, assuming you were going to get Assist as well (so you can email addresses & contacts to the Nav system, plus the other stuff).

That means ZTP isn't the deal I thought it was - $950 for Apps & HUD.

I got the free version of BMW Assist not the one you pay for - its like On Star and came with the tech package but I never added the subscription service.

It wasnt free it was part of that $650 you paid for enhanced BT and USB

Right of course it wasn't free I should have said "included in the Tech package". NOTHING is free on a car, just included in the price! BUT I didn't have to add the subscription service which, when I originally read the order form, I thought that I would have to add the BMW Assist subscription service if I got the tech package.
