more info

Well here's my correspondence from BMWPartsPros. I'm not 100% what the deal is on the springs. Three different sources I get three different numbers for the performance springs. My car is a 335i Msport. FYI...messages start from bottom up timeline

You're auto trans, so you'd need part# 31336860630 for the fronts. Basically, our BMW parts catalog has a spring table and you select the M Performance Suspension option and it shows the part#'s for the springs. There is no picture that shows them being the red springs in the kit picture, and no description saying they are m performance springs.
Regards,
jon@bmwpartspros.com

OK, so you'd need different springs. The part numbers you'd need for the front springs is 31336860629 x 2, for manual transmission, 31336860630 x 2, for automatic transmission, and for the rear springs (for both auto and manual trans) is 33536860620 x 2. The springs are $92.40 each.
regards,
jon@bmwpartspros.com

Disregard this James,
I'm now reading that it looks like you'd need springs. I'm looking into this further for you...

Hi James,
I found the installation instructions for the m sport suspension kit in .pdf format. These instructions show that the exhisting springs on your car are reinstalled when installing the msport suspension kit. There are no m performance springs or any other springs required to install the kit. So, the talk on the forums is nonsense. I am confident that I can assure you, for your f30 with m sport suspension or m sport package, all you need is what comes with the kit.
Regards,
jon@bmwpartspros.com

Shiv, you were able to get the springs? Do you know if they're availble to order. Please post pics and a review.

Even after reading the hassle and cost for this suspension I will probably go this route as I want a drop while keeping my dampening controls and as close to ride comfort as possible. Cant wait to see pics after install

I take it you have the DH pkg with M adaptive.
If you get the M perf dampers you lose adjustable damping, or did I miss something? I believe the M perf dampers are non adjustable with electronically controlled internal valves.

I too have M adaptive and I was thinking of just getting the M perf springs, IF they are available separately.
Is this what you were thinking to do too?

All:
How much increase in spring rate is there with the M perf springs?
I think I read something somewhere that the spring rates were between 25% to 35%, different front and rear.

A subtle drop would be ok, but I'm fine with the OEM ride height.
I'm not a fan of too much drop for a daily driver especially when driving in a 4 seasons area with rough roads, pot holes, and occasional deep snow events.
A 10mm drop is a bit under 1/2", I think that would look good and work for my needs.

I wonder if the M perf dampers are actually better than the M adaptive dampers? I'm thinking having M adaptive dampers with M perf springs would be the better setup.
From what I'm feeling in my 335i the suspension is basically only lacking firmer springs.

I'll be very interested in reading descriptions from F30 owners who have the M adaptive and then switch to the whole M perf setup.

I'm going to check with my dealer to see if they will install just the M perf springs. My 335i Msport is a lease so keeping warranty is a must.

Actually I did not choose to add m adaptive suspension but my configurator says I have it. If i have m adaptive then for now m performance is not an option. I actually called eibach today. They are in my area and need f30 for testing thier pro kit that is in development. I may go this route and if I dont like it go M performance. I had eibach on my scion TC and then my e90. Was happy both times.
