Here you can find an instruction to flash an ecu: http://www.bmwesys.com/guides/E-Sys%...CU%20Guide.pdf I think for your project you also need the full-psdzdata of 03/2015. But I don't really know this exactly at all. |

where did you place your ASD amp?
I got a custom made harness and trying to connect it behind my CIC headunit but the space is tight behind to place the thick wiring harness and the ASD amp. Where did people place the ASD amp? Tried to place it under the kick panel under the driver side but can't seem to get the harness to route that way. Is behind the glove box the best way?

Mine is flashed with 3.55.0.100 (using ESys 3.24.3) and I can't change the sound. ASD works when I have these settings: Why I have it set to F10 is because my ASD comes from an F10 (M5). Changing to F30 makes it quiet even though I should be able to switch due to my version 3.55 which you also have. How does all your other settings look? |

issues with my ASD install
I checked Rheingold today and found two faults with my ASD install. Hope someone can lead me in the right direction to get it working:
1. ASD_Rad_ON line: short circuit to B+ or open circuit 2. ASD invalid coding data for equalizing. I have set the ASD with Esys for F30, N26, Hi-Fi, no competition, OL level, and before 7-13. In the midst of fixing all the errors in Rheingold, ended up taking the ASD module out and reconnecting back to factory with the original harness with the Hi-Fi amp from the trunk. Now the radio works again with the engine off, which wasn't the case when the ASD was installed. Guess trying to retrofit the ASD unit in my car was an exercise in futility. Can confirm that the ASD can also be flashed with psdz V56.0.500 and engine sounds return as normal. Happy days

Have some questions:
Does ASD activate when the car is in comfort mode? How about when the car is in sport mode with only chassis activated (drivetrain remaining in comfort)? At what rpm ranges does ASD activate? Thanks in advance. |

ASD is always on in every rpm. ASD is independent from drive mode. In sport mode its only more noticeable than in comfort.

Hi Guys
Similar problem to some of you above - retrofitted ASD from M3/M4, and my 335i only allows me to play the M4 sound track. I've downloaded PSDZ data 3.56. Is this version suitable to get the sound track back or do I need older? If older, can someone give me a link? If it is fine, can someone advise how to downgrade the firmware? |

Hi, Very interested in this topic. I own a F11 2013 with N47 diesel engine with S677 Top Hifi sound systems. What options do I have to select different engine types and does someone have experience with the sound quality?
Thanks |

Hey, I read about Rad_on from you..
First, You wrote with the buzzing noise.
You had been knowing that it was Rad_on problem of missing part on 13 pin until you know real. But it seems to be only wiring problem now. As a result, We do not need to wiring from Head-Unit of 13 pin to ASD of 10 pin. And then, you have had F30-328i, early model and Stereo system as basement, and you have retrofitted. Please let me know if it is wrong. I am going to retrofit by myself. Best Regards. Quote:

You have to flash ASD to version 56.0 or lower to make ASD work with different engine settings.

There should be a walkthrough on here on how to flash, let me know if you need help. The hardest part would be looking for the psdz filed as not many keep old versions. I bought mine off Ebay.
