JB4 Map 6 on FBO N55?

I am running following performance mods:
-BMS JB4
-BMS intake
-Wagner tuning cattless downpipe
-ER charge pipe
-Wagner Evo Performance II FMIC

Wondering if anyone is running map 6 on pump gas? I am from Canada with only 94 octane option.

If you are running what kind of settings are you running? Experience?

Best bet is to log any new mapping and see how your car behaves. Each car is different.

What exactly are you after in map6 that is not on map2?

Log map2 and see if you are maxing things out and if there is room to go higher on pump.

No access to E85. Just straight race gas.

Just looking for more than Map 2. Car pulls harder in Map 5 but seems inconsistent as others have mentioned. Hoping I can find a balance on a custom Map 6 setting.

Also wondering from the forum if anyone has long-term experience with this as this is my daily driver.

You can run map 6 with any mods / fuel, as long as you choose the right boost settings and log the car to make sure everything is running smoothly

I don't recommend copying other car's settings, since each car will be different

If you are not experienced enough to do custom tuning I recommend using map 2 or get help from a custom tuner

Is adding methanol an option for you?

Meth as a daily driver/family car has been a question mark for me. I don't want to utilize my hatch for a tank for instance. Not sure if it is practical for me to be honest. Wish we had e85 and this would not be a problem.

I DD'd for 3 years with methanol. It was no sweat. I just checked on it every week or so when I got gas. Methanol does require attention but a proactive approach is not really that much of an inconvenience all said and done in my eyes.

However, E85 is a lot easier if you have it nearby.

You’ll rough idle. Those .20-.22 gaps are for around 500HP.
She runs nice. No issues.

Because it's what came up when I was just googling for similar info, so it's what people will find first. If it was "Obsolete", it wouldn't of popped up.
You realise a lot of people run older models right? We don't all have band new cars..lol
You're welcome.

Everyone runs flash only, either MHD, BM3 or ECUteK

JB4 is outdated tech and is Obsolete.

Brand new cars?
This is the n55 3/4 series forum.. they are all old cars now lol.. there are new posts here all the time.. the difference is you replied to a thread that was/is over 6 years old.

Second, the jb4 is irrelevant now. It serves no purpose other than to be used as a methanol controller..

You're welcome

😆
