In our experience it's typically 20 mm lower from sport. That said, there is plenty of adjustments to go either way, but I suggest not going too much lower to retain as much compression travel as possible. Camber plates will be an option now as well from another source. |

When will your website list the F30 application along with pricing?

I'll let my customer write a full review if he is here on the forums.
All I can say is the install went as smoothly as it could. Everything fit perfectly. At Ohlins recommended damper settings ride quality improved over stock, firmer but not harsh and all body motions well controlled. Confidence inspiring in spirited driving. |

MY2014 428i. My first BMW. For the most part I love the vehicle. Coming from an Integra, which I drove for nineteen years, this car feels large - it is relatively. There's a lot about the car to like, but it's "somewhat" soft suspension just didn't inspire confidence in me(more about my limitations than the cars).
My initial plan was to go with Bilstein and H&R - something I did with the Integra. I'm fairly certain that I would have been satisfied with that setup. After reading about broken suspension mounts in these forums I decided to back off from that purchase. Luckily while checking out the Bimmerpost forums I came across Harold's (HP Autosport) post about the impending availability of Ohlins coilovers. While brand loyalty lead me to Bilstein and H&R, Ohlins have always been on my dream list. I decided to order them... and ultimately have Harold install them. Harold was simultaneously professional and very courteous. I would not hesitate to do business with him again. Harold went with a fairly conservative setup: 10 mm drop and 10 clicks of adjustment. He also corner balanced the vehicle. As far as my impressions: I love my "new" car. Where it once felt large and unconnected to me, it now feels much smaller and incredibly responsive. Yes, you feel every bump, but in a controlled , precise manner. Significantly, no more floating. Sometimes I find myself watching how other vehicles respond to road irregulaities, and how sometimes they continue to ( I'm not sure how to describe it) bounce after severe bumps. Not with the Ohlins, everything is very controlled. I assume that the DFV is doing its job. Moving through traffic, not to sound aggressive or rude, is much easier. The Ohlins simply inspire a much greater feeling of control and confidence. Absolutely no regrets. El Mono Last edited by el_mono70; 09-11-2015 at 11:24 PM.. |
