My only regret maybe 2% of the time is not getting the 8AT. For 98% of the time, my build is perfect.

With the current one (118dA), definitely electrically operated seats. Getting mad at the
wife who never puts the seat back after she used my car, and it's only when I'm half seated in the car already that I realize I won't make it. With the new one (418dA, due next week), I suspect it will be adaptative headlights. I have the bi-xenons now and I suspect that going to the stock leds will be a way back. But I have more than exhausted the budget already... On the other hand, what I won't miss is the high beam assist. Where I live (Belgium) it's almost always impossible (too much traffic) or useless (lighted roads) to use high beams anyway. So that option was may be fun to show off, but a waste of money in the long run. May be I used it a dozen times in 5 years... Marc. |

Fully adaptive LED headlights as opposed to my standard LED headlights.
Ohhhhh, even though it was apparently super rare and not available on new 2018s - the full merino leather dashboard. It REALLY dresses up the interior.

Wish I had the heated rear seats, digital dash, and all the cameras. I have HUD, adaptive headlights, and M Sport, though, so I'm plenty happy. Just small touches that would've gone a long way.

I have no regrets with my spec, but I wish the option was available for brown or red interior on my 320i. Actually anything except black or oyster that doesn't have a colored lower dash. I wasn't about to pay an extra 8k for it to option up to a 328i, but had more interior choices been there for 2 or 3k I would have done that.
I thought I would miss the HK radio option and the HUD, but the bavsound and bimmertech is actually better than the HK and the HUD isn't as useful with the navi direction in the kombi diaplay, so I don't miss either.

Having an E92 previously that didn't have everything I wanted was the motivation for getting all package options on my F30. I didn't know much about BMWs when I bought my E92. I still very much enjoyed it but I think I could have enjoyed it more.
What I did have on my E92 were the M-Sport package and the HK audio. Those were definitely worthwhile. But I didn't get leather or the premium package, two things I missed immediately after being in a car that had them. The leatherette (it wasn't called Sensatec back then) was comfortable but you didn't get the nice stitching on the door panels and of course, it didn't smell like leather. So I felt the non-leather interior cheapened the car and I told myself I wouldn't do that again. Lumbar support was another. The E92 sport seats were fantastic and I don't think they needed it, but it was something I'd have preferred to have anyway. Other things I would not go without now that I have them on the F30 (all of these were absent on my E92): --Auto-dimming rearview mirror --Parking sensors and backup camera --Navigation system --Comfort access (this is such a great/useful technology) --Heated seats (don't really use these much but they are great if you have passengers) --Electronic adjustable suspension (so much better than the E92 sport suspension ...night and day) --Bluetooth phone connectivity Stuff I would have paid for if it were available: --Ventilated seats --Even higher-end audio than the HK system --Cross-traffic sensors (I think this was mentioned already) Charles

Options I wanted but could not obtain with this car:
Ventilated/cooled seats Remote Start Bigger moonroof Power sliding shade for moonroof (first car I've had to "pull" closed in a while) Better sound system (glad I opted OUT of HK and did my own) Leather dash (wasn't available when I bought mine but did see some with it...UK thing?) Something other than Dakota leather More ambient color options Digital Speedo/instrument cluster Even though there are things left to be desired with this car, I'm more than satisfied with it overall. With some of my previous cars, I felt like I was paying WAY too much so we're on the right track

I looked for a long time for a CPO with low mileage that was the xdrive and MT. Hard to find. This went on for about 9 months, and finally I found one. I had to catch a short flight and make a long drive back, after buying the car sight unseen. Maybe not the smartest thing I have ever done... But all in all this one is equipped almost exactly as I would have ordered one. I saved about $12k to let someone else have it for the first 6300 miles.
- Mediterranean blue metallic over the black sapphire metallic would have been huge, but I'd never find that color with the more important stuff. - Adaptive headlights are missing ... I may look at getting these added - Adaptive cruse control would be nice .. around here CC is mostly useless. I maybe have kept it set for all of 10 minutes one time. - Track package .. meh don't really need it, just the 403M over the 400M would be ok - Top camera / sunshades .. don't need it Otherwise this sucker is loaded. Now when I had that X1 loaner, the adaptive LED headlights were amazing....that was a night and day difference with night vision!
