Along with DSC other systems are affected by the brakes... from BMW's press release for the F30...

BTW, the four wheel M performance brakes are simply amazing. |

Heya.
Just did this. I have an F30 with retrofitted M Sport brakes and of course, whoever installed them omitted the SPBR coding. Thanks for the info guys. Have not test driven it yet as I just finished coding it... But I did find the brakes a bit spongy to be honest. Will report back regarding what my results are. Not sure if its mentioned in this post... But I did not go ahead and change the rotor diameter via Esys. I figure if anything there was to be changed, adding the SPBR would have changed it... So I just added HO-WORT SPBR and re-coded my DSC. Thanks again! |

The SPBR is there so that you don't have to FDL code, because the program sets automatically all values at the right place and you don't have to do anything else. So add the SPBR to your VO and code (not FDL Code) the DSC. |

Hello Guys,
Any help would be much appreciated. My car is a 2016 328i with grey brembo four piston at front and normal single piston break at the rear. Installed M Performance brakes today and coded DSC by adding SPBR but the brakes still feel too spongy. Its taking more than 50% of the pedal travel to stop the car and feels worst than my stock. Also it feels like all four brake calipers are holding up the wheel even after I let go of the brake pedal. Couple of observation ... 1. After I have added SPBR, under aftermarket retrofit I see SPBR_19_ZOLL_SPORTBRAKE instead of 18 2. Under DSC module FDL is there only for front again set to initwerte 0 and rear is not present. Any help please. Thanks.

IMO sponginess comes from & is usually an indicator of air in the system due to improper bleeding or none I replaced the 4 piston brembo front/2 piston rear on my 2015 F32 with the blue Perf brakes from an M4 with 370frt rotors I also installed ECSTuning SS brake lines @ same time. Indy that did my install bled the brake system correctly using the machine that BMW would use I never coded my brakes at all and they have been fine for yrs now thru (1) pad/rotor change since initial install
