Regarding the h&r sport springs, can they be installed on the f30 sportline without the sport suspension? As we all know, BMW saw fit to sell the sportline in Canada with the sport suspension as an option. Sadly, i picked up my car from dealer stock spur of the moment and do not have the sport suspension. Would adding the sport springs be harder on the suspension's shock absorbers than when added to the sport suspension shock absorbers? Hope that makes sense. I traded in an e90 with sport suspension and am finding the F30 setup to be to damn soft.
Thanks

How is the suspension after the H&R spring installed? Under damped?

Install - $250-500 depending on the shop. (I was quoted $375)

Springs are perfect in sport mode, love them. They are a bit bouncy when dampers are in comfort mode, feels like a lexus.

Did you swap out dampers/shocks at all or just straight swap the springs?

Good info on the shop. What did they charge you for the spring installation? I've used EB3 in Chantilly area in the past for welding and Curry's auto in East Falls Church for a shock install, alignment and brake fluid... both were just OK, nothing special.. u still loving the H&R's??

I'm planning on going with the HR sports with the M adaptive suspension. I'm hoping BMW will release a M performance kit for the adaptive suspension..but I'm not holding my breath.

GTM, thanks for the info on the SuperSport Springs. I'm coming from an 03' E46 Sport Suspension (which I absolutely loved) and I am wholly disappointed with the Spor Line (non-adaptive) Sport suspension. Love the look of your ride with the new wheels but I'm not ready to change wheels just yet. Is your Wheel/Tire combo any larger or smaller than the Sportline Stock 18" with the stock run flats? I'm wondering because I like the look the supersport springs have given the car but I don't want wheels to scrape at all. Any more feedback on handling with the SuperSport springs? I'm thinking they will be my next upgrade. |

thanks for the info/photos - i'm debating a CPO e90 (for the 2nd time) or leaping into a new F30 335i. test driving one later this week so i'll def be sure to get a good feel for the suspension. i haven't researched 'em that much bc aside from youtube reviews. this is good feedback, thanks OP & others.

I don't have the sport adaptive suspension. Does anyone have a 328i with H&R Sport springs and regular suspension? Wonder how it will be... Thanks!

I have the H&R sport springs w/o adaptive suspension and it performs just fine. Don't think i would install sport springs w/o sport suspension, but if you have the sport line or M-sport it rides very well.

I am not exactly sure which package I have as they don't give us the option to pick any suspension here. Packages come pretty much fixed. What's the code for SPORT suspension? This way I can look. Mine looks quite high (higher than any 3 Series I have seen lately) Thanks
