Has conected drive gone down ?

Has anyone's connected drive gone down ?

All of a sudden this afternoon all connected drive items have disappeared completely from the menu including streamed music.

All I am left with is mobile care, hotline and your service.

Can anyone check their pro nav system ?

I posted earlier on, seems they are doing some work as their website was initially down, now back up and looks like the mobile app but the actual app still doesn't work for me (no map to car or locate my car!)

My car was in to have a failed Air con condenser replaced under guarantee (car two years old 29K miles). When I picked it up no RTTI and nothing that uses internal sim working. I assumed garage not put something back correctly not knowing where the BMW vodaphone sim is in the car!!

Early evening full service now restored.

BMW should really text everybody when it goes down so some of us do not panic and jump to the wrong conclusion

I think they should leave a note or status section mentioning any service update/issues on their website; can be done via facebook or twitter too.

Mine went off when I came back to the mainland on 21st April after 10 days on the Isle of Man.....no RTTI, no On-line nav search facility, no weather, no news, nada!
Went to my dealer last Friday car booked in on Wednesday gone (gave me a new 740d X-drive to play with during the day!!!) tech did a fully software update and now everything is fine!
They did say there was a shedload of updates to do with the software so took about 5 hours! Asked me when I last updated my connected drive drive services and I just looked blank...didn't know we can do that periodically through the i-drive !!!!

I notice that the traffic view is different when connected drive is offline. Normally you get coloured lines either side of the roads. This vanished but there was still incidents on the map so don't know where it was getting these from. Maybe it was using TMC as a backup.

You're right....coloured lines are traffic flow from RTTI but if that not available uses TMC which shows incidents still but can't do traffic flow!
