From the dealership reports told me, 4 series cars have been pretty dependable.......
Mine has been flawless. (knock on wood)

It's been reliable for me too, however, could use a lot more ///M badges and a ///M POWER banner at the top of the windshield

51,000 miles on my late build '14.. no problems except some mild wear on the Dakota Leather seats that has been covered under warranty.

The N55 engineer is pretty reliable go for it.
