Sold my Legacy GT, ordered a 335i X Drive!

Hey guys, I just sold my 2007 Legacy GT, stage 3. I wanted to see what this German Engineering thing is all about! I initially ordered a 2013 328xi sedan in 6 spd 2 months ago. When the car got delivered last week, it was automatic. The dealer told me that they don't make the 328xi in stick anymore but decided not to tell me until the car was at dealership. Long story short, I refused delivery, caused a scene, demanded to speak to the Manager. The Manager was very apologetic and ended up ordering me a 335xi in 6 spd for $20 more a month then I was planning on paying for the 328xi. He also put me in a 2011 328xi coupe with 22,000 miles on it that had just come off of lease for me to drive until the 335 comes in. Not a bad deal!!

Here's some pictures of my Subaru:

Congrats!

That sucks. Waiting 2 months and not getting the car because of someones mistake.

At least they did give you a loaner and a good deal on 335i. After 2 months you`ll be in your 335i forget all of these and when making the payments you would be happy that they did this mistake.

I always loved Legacy`s. I had one 2.5i before now I had an outback 3.0.

Love the Subarus, but I would have gotten the wagon Considering trying to track down a 5MT LGT wagon or an Outback XT with a stick.

Six weeks wait for a 335i !!!!!! What was your dealer smoking when they told you this ?
I placed my order on Aug.16th; car won't be built until mid-October and likely will not arrive in Vancouver until late November or early December.

Loved those Legacy GTs! One of the best kept secrets of the automotive world.

I guess your 335 will be a lot quieter and will sit down better at high speeds, and you'll certainly see an upgrade in interior materials quality. But none of that takes away from the coolness of the LGT, which wasn't really trying to be a BMW as much as its own thing.

I guess they're all getting built at the same time. He said mine should be finished production Oct 6th and be at the dealer the last week of Oct, 1st week of Nov. We shall see!

F30 328xi was never offered with MT (this is clearly stated in the Order Guide and bmwusa Build tool). Not sure what BMW's reasoning was behind this decision, but at least it's available with 335xi.

Anyway, you got a nice upgrade out of this confusion! Congrats.
