There is 1 review on Mike website commented that he could not fit the dp into his 228i. So what was his problem?

We resold that returned downpipe as used and it fit without an issue. The problem was installer related.

What's the point of a catless downpipe? more airflow? and would this make the exhaust sound louder or anything?

More exhaust flow, more performance, more sound.

If you have a stock exhaust, it's a little louder. IF you have any aftermarket exhaust it's even more noticeable.

It makes more noise at wide open throttle and only a little bit at cold start and cruising.

More airflow, no back pressure -> more power and better exhaust tone

Exhaust tone will change on cold start and wide open throttle only, exhaust tone during normal driving is the same

Thanks Tiago. Another question is what is the difference for 4.5inch dp? I believe same dp from other brand is 4inch.

There really isn't much of a difference aside from the fact that a 4.5" pipe will outflow a 4" pipe. Either way both sizes are overkill for the N20 and both will perform the same.

Now that the N26 Downpipe is out, have you heard of any issues with fitment? I am comparing this to the ER Competition 4" DP.
