wow that is one gourgeous f30 and man that estoril blue color really fits the car. there is something I want to know, what are those things in the exhaust pipe ? and again your f30 rocks!!

Thanks! Those things in the pipes are just a Meisterschaft design element. Supposedly they also smooth out airflow. I have actually been thinking of painting them black with engine paint so they disappear aesthetically. It's the only part of their exhaust system I don't love as it's a gorgeous bit of kit and sounds amazing.

Thanks! I absolutely love the sound of your system! At first I thought it was too loud but now I only drive with the valve fully open. Downshifts are awesome sounding. I really need to get some videos. Thanks again

I know what you mean but I didn't want the upper painted right now since I don't have my summer wheels on yet. Once I get my white wheels on, I will see how it will look. If it needs to be painted, I will do it then but for now I really like the gloss black lip.

car looks awesome...the wheel / tire fitment is on point. The 265 looks a bit stretched on the 10" wheel. Do you think you could've been able to squeeze a 275?...just curious as I have the the exact same wheels on my LCI except I run the 275 in the rear and thinking of getting the F30 as well.

Man I feel so dumb. After looking at your pics of your exhuast install, I realized that the sensors to the DP are unplugged somewhere before the DP is taken out.

I tried to take my stock downpipe out last night and everything went fine until I tried to take the sensors out. Do you know where the sensors plug into? I tried to follow the wire up but couldn't see where they went.

Here are some pics I just took to help you out if you still need.

The foam cover after you remove the plastic engine cover. Just pull up to remove the engine cover:

OMG, dude, you have no idea how close I was. I actually went to those two plugs but I coudln't confirm those were the ones so i just gave up. So its those two plugs side by side?

Lol, it happens. Yep it's those two side by side. Don't worry about mixing them up either as they are fool proof plugs. One can't plug into the other. Just make sure you put the sensors themselves in the correct locations.

Btw buy mounting bolts for the downpipe if you haven't already.

Cool. It's usually something much more easy than I make it out to be. Ha... I did get new mounting bolts and that's another thing I noticed when I was under there. The factory ones are welded in so when I put the new ones in, the top bolts will be loose. It seems like its going to be very difficult to get them to bolt on b/c I would think the top bolt would just keep spinning. Not sure that there is clearance to secure the other side.

We shall see... Thanks again though for your help!

Depends on the tire. A Michelin super sport in 275 would rub at my current height under compression while a skinnier brand might not.









Btw guys in case anyone was wondering I took home 2nd place for best bmw at Wekfest Hawaii 2013 this past weekend. Will hopefully have some pics soon.

There's enough room to wrench once you get the nut on. A trick my mechanic did to get it started was to super glue the bolts to the brackets on the downpipe. Worked like a charm, give it a go.

True, the HFC gives no check engine light but w/ a tune the catless one doesn't have one either... Hm...

I still can't stand the smell of catless, but if you can, maybe it's the better option for you.

I lost to an alpine white e39 M5. It was fully kitted out in hamman aero, had hre's, brembos, exhaust, and was slammed on bc racing coilovers. Definitely a worthy car to loose to.
