2014 F31 engine upgrades
Hello all!
Its finally time for me to return to the BMW fold after 30 months on the dark side with Audi (in my defence you had to wait 6 months for an X3 when I last changed!) I am thinking of having a 320d M Sport touring next time around and I wondered if anyone on here knows if they intend to upgrade the emissions and EU6 exhaust on the F31 for the 2014 model year. I see that they have done this on the new 5 series facelift announced this week. As a company car the BIK value is important to me......if not I would have a 330d every time! Hope there is someone in the know... |

I thought euro 6 was more about the reduction of gasses etc other than co2?
There is an upgrade for euro6 but pro media and H&K speakers were more important ! |

I think you're correct but the BIK surcharge of 3% for diesels will be lifted for 2015 tax year....sad I know! The new M sport upgrade is a no brainer including H&K

You can currently get an EU6 BMW - they are called "Blue Performance".
Its currently an option - not sure it when it will become standard on builds. |

Comes as standard from July 2013 production. Whether there is a price increase for the engines remains to be seen.
The only benefit is lower emissions, which might reduce your road tax. BluePerformance essentially conforms with 2014 EU rules on emissions. |

I'm glad that I don't have one - its another regenerative trap that will not save MPG.
Its just for emissions. it may actually lower MPG during a re-gen so you will be worst off as well as adding more back pressure on the exhaust system. Just waiting to see what taxes us company car drivers will be stuffed with in the next few years |
