Sounds like a fine price. I will suggest you need to add the adaptive suspension at least and probably VSS as well. Good luck. H |

There is plenty of info on the forum mate so just start having a look around and you find lots. IMO you have everything you need other than the suspension upgrade. Thought of something else and I'm not sure if it is now included, I would also add the adaptive headlights. H |

+1 on the M Adaptive Suspension and headlights. Get the HUD too if it's not part of the package (I don't know what's in these bundles now).

Hi everyone. First time poster, but I've been reading up on here for a while now. Especially when I was researching before my purchase.
335i M-Sport (MY14) Black Sapphire Coral Red Leather Seats Sunroof Adaptive M Suspension Manual Transmission Paid $103,900. I'm on the Corporate Plan too. I didn't see much point of getting a lot of the options, as quite a bit comes standard on the 335 (ie: H&K sound, enhanced instr. cluster, MSport bits). Plus some I just plain do not want (Self Parking etc). One thing I kinda wish I got was the Adaptive Cruise Control. So annoying when someone in front of you is going slightly slower and you need to disengage it until you match their speed. I've had a few of the common problems like: The rattling exhaust (heat shielding vibrating against the body, fixed) Creaking door seals (Teflon tape parts on order) Bumper slightly scratched by detailer (buffed off in 5 minutes, but had to wait a week with a loan car) Passenger seat felt dry when I took delivery (got told it needs to be worn in. Conditioning solution was applied last week but still doesn't feel right. Taking it in again. I asked for all the seats to be done now because they're going to be out of sync with each other if only one seat is done, and it was like this when the car was delivered. APPARENTLY it costs around $2000 for all the seats to be conditioned (One bottle of BMW conditioner would cost me about $60!), but they'll ask. And I've recently noticed a rattle in the dash slightly to the passenger side... Other than that... it's FANTASTIC! |

Gents (mostly I think?),
Just introducing myself. Recently upgraded from an e90 320d to a 328i. Brand New (Jan 14 build) 328i MG M-Sport Xenon, Sunroof, Innovations package (Pro Nav, Comfort, HUD, Surround view and all the other "I can't be pharked to check my mirrors" aids), Extended bluetooth, 5 Yrs service, Tint. $74k The only thing I'm a bit peeved about is lack of adaptive suspension. However, I never got a chance to drive one, and have reserved myself from never reading another thread related to it (no matter how good 'they' say it is), and will do my best never to drive one with it. I figure the emu approach will work best and I won't be too disappointed. Can't wait to take delivery, and a bit of stalking here has me set to sort out some nice upgrades. The F30, IMO, really does feel like a large leap up from my e90 so pretty excited. Not sure about this run-in crap though. How patient are you guys? |

I was quite gentle for 2000 km, mainly to bed-in the brakes. In my opinion, it's worth bedding the brakes in fairly gently to avoid any risk of damaging them (or having them squeak in protest), and that means not driving the car hard for a few weeks. However, it's also worth your while to use the majority of the rev range of the engine rather than just clocking up kms at the same speed (revs) on a freeway, for example. Be kind to your new toy now and she'll be kind to you later.

Go find yourself some empty road, ideally and get up to 80 or 100kmh. No need for anything faster. Once rolling, dab the brakes a few times to get them up to temperature, remembering new brakes won't work as well as they will after they've been bedded in yet. Slowing down (NOT STOPPING) from 100km/h a few times with moderate to heavy (without triggering ABS) application will clear the discs of any remaining coating and allow the pads to conform to the rotors properly. Might fade a little depending on which system you're using after six or seven goes but they will cool quickly. Now you're all sorted |

Hey guys,
I'm new to BMW and looking to purchase my first. Moving up from a mazda 3 so it'll be a big step up. Been quoted from a dealer here in Melbourne with the following spec: 328i M sport 01/2014 - mineral grey - sunroof-glass - xenon - innovations pack - telephony 74k drive away. I wanted the Harmon Kardon but they can only do it if it's a custom build and it'll cost 80k above. I can live without the hk as it'll be over my limit. Is 74k a good price? Thanks. |

Seems reasonable to me. Noob question but does the M sport come with the adaptive dampers or is it a discounted option ? anyway make sure you have M adaptive suspension included in the 74k drive away

It comes with the M sport suspension. As the car is already built and is a floor stock, I can't add the adaptive or hk as an option. That's why the dealer will do it for that price, otherwise a custom build would cost more. I'm not sure to believe what they say.
This dealer was the lowest I got quoted for by the way. Others wouldn't budge from their initial quote of 90-95k. I was prepared to sign that day but they just told me it's impossible to bring it down to mid 70s. They would only negotiate if I'm looking for around 80k above. I might try other dealers but just dislike going through the haggling process. Can anyone recommend a dealer that are good to deal with around Melbourne? |

You must be really excited. Congrats!! I'm still waiting for another dealer to beat that price or include HK. If they can't do it then I'll get this on Saturday.

I love the power of the 328, it's very quick. NBT idrive and head up display are fantastic. Does anyone have any idea if 6nr (apps) are available in Australia. |

Picked up my car on Thursday and loving it. Detailed today, and first proper run through the hinterland will be tomorrow. Can't wait!! Thanks to Steve and dabaitu. Going to take it easy on the revs for at least the first 500k tho, but will try that 100kph braking method. Usually buy demos, so someone else has usually popped the cherry. Nice to know its my turn! |
