Fog Light surround Removal?

I have a 2014 sportline 328xi. For whatever reason, the fog light surround pieces are painted a blue/purple color? I would like to take these out so I can repaint them.

The piece in question is this molding piece that surrounds the fog light and the whisker.

How do you remove these? I've done some looking around and haven't seen much in regards to the sportline removal.

Thank you

Mine are painted the same color and i hate it. Why wouldn't they just paint them black to match the car? You're going to have to remove the bumper. there's clips holding it in place from the back if i remember right from the last time i took the bumper off.

I have the same issue on my passenger side fog light surround with a purple hue. It was not there when I bought the car ion Aug of 13, but over time, the Black Sapphire Metallic has turned purple. The drivers side has remained the original Black Sapphire Metallic. Although, I am well out of warranty, I'm going to beat on the dealership over this just for the hell of it.

It's black, just not the same shade of black as the bumper. It's not painted, mine aren't anyway, it's the color of the plastic. There's enough contrast between that color and the midnight blue of my bumper that it looks OK, I'd say that's the case with most bumper colors. It's the 'almost but not quite' with a black bumper that makes it look off. I don't think you need to pull the bumper to get the cover off, there should be plenty of threads on how to do it from guys who removed the fogs entirely.
