Right re-formated USB to Fat32 (it was Fat16) downloaded and it was stored as a "Bin File"!!!, anyway same result No software on USB available message!!.
Could the file type be wrong?.
EDIT: just downloaded direct onto USB , tried it , "Software not compatible with car" showed on the car!!!!!!!!!!!!! . Give up.

As I don't pick up my car until Friday afternoon I have emailed the Dealer and asked them to update the software beforehand.

OK, mine's a late September build - and the site says yes but the car says no. This really shouldn't be this difficult. Once I get back from the biz trip I am on the car's going back in to the dealer to get some answers....

I have a Mac and downloaded the latest software update to my usb stick today, just been out to the car and it found it and installed it quickly no problem - so it can't be downloading on a Mac that causes problems. I have a tiny 1Gb usb flash drive, formatted to FAT32.

My car has a build date of 15th Feb 2013 and have the Pro Media. Do I need to get this updated before I receive the car on Tue?

Software update very confusing for me...

Both sites agree on the same updates available UPD3002 which is software version 7.0.75 for a car built after July 2011 (which seemed very early as mine's Nov 2012 BW47) and the actual version on the car is 7.001.005 (which is apparently later anyways!)
