They used to have you remove the front plate yourself before you dropped off, even gave you a BMW pouch to bring your plate home, but that changed since the last time I did ED. This time they suggested I take everything with me that wasn't standard US equipment so no eyebrows were raised in customs. Packed safety vests and first aid kit in my luggage, but plates came to the US with the car.
The front plates are stuck on using foam tape, but I never did find out what they did with the rear plates. On my M235i delivery last year, US brackets were added on top of the ED plate, which has 2 holes drilled into it. On my 340i delivery this year I left a note to put the plate in the trunk, which they did but there are no drill holes on the plate. I wanted the same look as my M235i so I had to drill the holes myself.

The rear plate has a bracket that mounts to the car with the same 2 holes as our US plate bracket. But the EU bracket is pretty slick. The top edge fits under a lip, and there is a trim piece - the piece with the text or dealer name on it that pushes/clips on along the bottom to hold the plate in - no fasteners.

First I had a 325i with Sport package then after I only wanted all my BMWs to have Sport Package

Then I did Euro Delivery on a 2013 335i MSport, after that to me I knew, only Euro Delivery and MSport package

Then my friends, I got a 2016 M3 on a Euro Delivery, and from now on only real M cars.

Just a hands up... for BMW guys it is a never ending history till you graduate on a REAL M car.

And now what?!

Got bitten by the mods bug, all CF Parts, Exhaust, etc...

Watch out, this fever is on your way now.

M cars were never lusting for me since no BMW is really a "sports car", to me natural progression from BMW is to PORSCHE for sporting and well my budget says corvette so I have one of those for fast.

This has been my progression also. Now we will always do ED on all our cars and have at least one M car in the stable. My wife wants an M car next. We did thermal M school together last week and she's hooked. I keep hearing when can we do the advanced school. She's even been talking about Michelin PSS tires as being the bomb

Yes, I looked seriously for a 993 about 5 years ago. Right before they skyrocketed in price. I will likely kick myself forever for not pulling the trigger. Now I can't justify the $$ that they get. Maybe the right one will come along... Anyway, now I have my M3 and it's not going anywhere, so I would have to start a sports car collection, ouch.

I would have loved a well cared for 993. I don't like the 996 at all, so once I'm done with the M3, I'm thinking cpo M340i daily driver, 997TT weekender.

I'd do just about anything for a new 911 turbo, work harder and before i'm 40 would be even better. #goals

Hadn't seen it in awhile, but came in this morning early. I parked to protect it.

Think I'll post over in the M2 forum and see if he/she will trade cars for a day.

Oh man, the way the light makes those curves and the angles look in that picture...
