Rear seats in MY2014 328i

Hi!

I have had one CA tell me that if I do not get the "Through Loading System," the rear seats are stationary(do not fold down.)

I had another CA tell me that they are 60/40 split seats without the Through Loading System and the TLS is (40/20/40).

I am looking at the sport line. Which CA is right?

Thank you,

Jimmer.

The TLS is an option you can get for $400. Just wondering if I need it for fold-down seats?

Sounds like confusion with terminology

The "Thru Load" option give you the 3way fold down seats

But if you get just the Ski Bag option - then it provides an opeing but the seats do not fold

Following are the various options. It depends on the market/location as to which is provided as standard/option/ or not available.

*S464A *SKI BAG
*S465A *THROUGH-LOADING SYSTEM
*S468A *THROUGH-LOADING SYSTEM WITH SKI BAG
*
A CA who knows his/her stuff should know this.

Cheers

This is a US spec car you have - we cannot get a 328i in Estoril Blue in Canada as M Sport is not even offered (only on the 335 and F31).

MY14 Canadian spec 328i/328i xDrive do NOT have fold down seats unless specified as stand alone option code 465 ($400) or as part of Premium Package.

Maybe to simplify:

Through Loading System = Seats fold down(in addition to the TLS opening)

No TLS = Seats do not fold down.

BMW just want to make more money by not having TLS standard. When I was shopping for a F30 back in fall 2012, the only way to get TLS for 328i was to order the premium package for like $3500.

I thought that was stupid and ended up getting a 335i, which has TLS standard.

It certainly worked. They got you to upgrade from a 328 to a 335! Lol
