I wish I would have gotten that call, mine failed and left me on the side of the road at only 3,000 miles.

That is weird just cross over 40K miles and now it's the fuel pump.

My '13 is in for a warranty repair and SA added this campaign to my workorder: SIB 16 06 16 Electric In-tank Fuel. He stated they would be replacing the fuel pump.

F30's with fuel pump issues now too? I thought for sure they had finally fixed this problem. At least it's under recall for those who might be out of warranty.

My 240sx has fuel pump issues too. The main reason I stopped using it as a daily driver years ago was because it killed fuel pumps every year. No amount of re-wiring worked and diagnostic checks always came back good. I just attributed the issue to too much modifying. At least the fuel pumps were relatively cheap and easy to replace (though quite uncomfortable). Looks like BMW has similar issues on a much wider scale. Makes me feel a bit better about the car I built.

I just dropped my car off today to get this recall serviced.. I was fortunate enough to not run into an issues with it thus far. My dealership said they just got notice of the recall this year but I see on other forums that it has been known for a little while already.. Is it different?

Is this an actual fuel pump issue or a sensor in fuel pump that they will not replace, so whole pump is being replaced?

In my case at least they replaced the "EPKS" and a few fuses, then after the car broke down again during their test drive they replaced the whole pump

I went for my brake pads and I was told that there is a recall and they changed the fuel pump. I wish this is not similar to the fuel pump issues that we had with e90.

Not sure what EPKS is

Last year a number of 335iH had fuel pumps replaced.

CEL

Error in fuel pump sensor. Of course, they don't make replacement sensors, so whole pump has to be replaced for bad $1 sensor. Had mine replaced twice thus far.

According to posts, mileage made no difference. Mileage from 6k to 50k all were going out roughly 3 years after build.

Was wondering if this is the same thing going on in this recall?

I just got a call as well for low pressure fuel pump recall? The dealer called me and told me my vehicle was in callback.

I haven't had any problems yet. But glad they gave me a call

I'v also had mine in for a low pressure fuel pump recall last month. I was getting my vehicle serviced at the dealer and they mentioned the recall while i was there. Got it done.

That's odd. I have a 2014 335i (manufactured Oct 2013), provided the dealership my VIN and was told that there were no recalls issued for this car. I even specifically mentioned "fuel pump" recall, and they are not aware. Should I try a different dealership? Are there certain 2014 models built on X date that are only affected?

I'd take it in to another dealer, I'm pretty sure this affects all 2013/2014s. Mine was a July 2014 build and needed it.
